This 1880 home features historic charms such as original hardwood floors and 3 Rookwood fireplaces, with brand new furniture throughout (including the comfiest King bed ever). The location can't be beat - a quiet, tree-lined street in Central Cincinnati, minutes from Xavier, UC, Rookwood, Downtown Cincinnati, Children's Hospital, Cincinnati Zoo, and much more!
Tons of windows and 11' ceilings make this 1400 sq ft dwelling feel bright and airy. Original woodwork and fireplaces add charm while modern amenities provide comfort. Fully stocked kitchen with en suite HE washer and dryer (detergent provided), and a dining room that seats 4. Bedroom features brand new king sized memory foam mattress with cozy linens and down comforter, large flatscreen with Firestick, a sound machine, and a full-sized closet (with iron/ironing board). Living room sofa folds into queen size bed, linens provided upon request. There is a desk/workspace and highspeed internet available for business travelers, and another TV in the living room with premium cable and a "little library" for downtime.
Keyless entry for ease of use and flexible check-in times. Guests have access to front and backyard as well as spacious front porch with swing and comfortable seating. This listing is for the first floor of a 2-unit house (I live upstairs and am available as needed, if I'm in town - otherwise another host nearby will be available for emergencies).
I have a friendly adopted stray cat (Ruth Vader Kittensburg) who lives outside (and has a heated cat house on the front porch). She is very sweet and loves to nuzzle.

Summary: Megan was so easy to work with, and the check in was simple. Bed was comfy, and any accomodations we may have wanted were already there for us. Shower was hot with excellent water pressure. Wifi was good, smart tvs easy to use. Porch was comfy to relax on, and the sweet cat outdoors was icing on the cake :) Close to tasty places to eat (don't skip out on Taste of Belgium), and was Kroger is nearby for any grocery needs. Excellent home base if you're looking to check out the Cincinnati Zoo, Aquarium in Newport, or any major Cincinnati sports teams. Would absolutely stay again if I'm in the area.

Summary: We were visiting the area for the wedding of a close friend of our daughter. After a very long road trip it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the city. Megan, the host, was friendly, meticulous and responsive to any questions we raised. She was never intrusive, though, allowing us to feel completely at home. Kitchen was well stocked and the front porch was the perfect place to start and end each day.

Summary: Great location! Close to Xavier & UC. We had a quick stay, but place was just as advertised! I felt like we were staying at a friends house. Very clean & all the amenities you would need, plus some! Host was super easy to work with & communicate with.

Summary: It’s a very old home with squeaky floors, but lovely decor. Furniture isn’t super comfy and bed is quite firm. The bathroom door doesn’t shut and we had some ants in the kitchen. The owner was nice taking care of the ants and very responsive. House was charming and spacious, just wish it was a bit cozier.

Summary: We loved our week at this lovely apartment. As native Cincinnatians, we had never stayed in the Norwood neighborhood but it was so convenient to every work meeting and every dinner gathering we attended. We particularly enjoyed being in walking distance to Skyline and Gordo's (2 Cincinnati treasures). The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, perfect for enjoying morning coffee on the lovely front porch. Inside, everything was spotless with plenty of room (and wifi!) for both of us to occasionally be working. The kitchen was well-equipped, down to creamer in the fridge and a pitcher of chilled water. There was even a lovely basket of snacks! The bed was great, there were plenty of towels and the TV was easy to use (a pet peeve of mine at other VRBOs). Most of all, though, was the way the host made us feel so welcome. There were cards and note paper, little notes that told us how things worked, air freshener and foil pans (so we didn't have to clean up!), even screwdrivers for an emergency! Throughout the home are beautiful pieces of art (not to mention beautiful Rookwood fireplaces) and plants that just made it feel more like a home-away-from-home and less like a rental. Thank you!
