Located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac on Schweitzer Mountain, steps away from all of the action, this spacious duplex cabin is the perfect spot for a ski, snow, and nature-filled getaway with family and friends. After a full day on the mountain or out on the lake, gather together in the large open-plan living area with a full kitchen, dining, and comfortable living space. Enjoy the ultimate cozy winter experience by curling up by the fire and taking in the expansive views of snow falling on the evergreen trees and mountains surrounding the home. Create lasting memories day after day, filled with unbeatable skiing, good food, fun games, laughs, and a restful night’s sleep.
The first floor of this side of the duplex consists of a one car garage with an electric car charger, large boot room, bunk room (2 twin beds, couch and armchair), and half bath. There is a security system in place that covers the perimeter of the home. A common hallway and stairs lead to the upstairs unit.
The second level has an open plan kitchen, dining, and living room, master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, guest bedroom with adjacent full bathroom, and a private washer/dryer.
The third floor loft features two full sized futons, a table/desk with computer monitor and a full bathroom.

- *Ski in/ski out is when snow conditions allow and is most accessible to intermediate+/advanced skiers by following a trail that includes a short/steep hill through the woods across the street. There is also easy walking/skiing access for all ski levels that involves a walk up a flight of stairs and down a condo access driveway to a cat track. For beginner skiers, it’s often easier to drive 2 minutes and drop off at the Fall Line Parking lot (bottom of Musical Chairs lift)
- This listing is for one side of the duplex (4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms). We own the other side of the duplex for personal use, and we are there occasionally. We’re here to help with anything you may need when we’re around, but will also allow you space and privacy, if preferred. We also have a local property manager available should there be an issue and we are not there.
For over 15 years, our family enjoyed this home for our winter and summer holidays. When we first purchased the home, we were living overseas and saw Schweitzer as our home-base when we visited family in the area. We have had many memorable times here with our family and friends, and hope you do as well.
Recently, we established a private foundation, Foundation for Equity and Justice. We placed this home into the foundation with the goal of making a vacation on Schweitzer an option for many families, while meeting and serving the goals of the Foundation. The mission for the Foundation is to support organizations that focus on designing and implementing corrective solutions to historic inequities and injustices in the areas of economics, education, race, healthcare, and the environment.
Rental income will be donated to non-profit organizations that support the goals of the Foundation.
While we’ve only moved across the hall, this home will forever be special to our family. We’re proud to have the opportunity to share the home with you, your family & friends.

Summary: This is a nice place in the middle of the ski mountain. Very well equipped with everything we needed. There was plenty of room for the 8 of us, albeit one bedroom was downstairs of a locked door, which was a little strange. It snowed over 2 feet while we were there and the drive was very well plowed often. I will say that it isn't ski in/out. On the way out all the extra snow made the gully crossing too risky for our expert skiers, and the ski in to the house is down a bit of a road and some stairs. All of which were very clear with the detailed directions though and it wasn't any problem for us at all. We had a terrific time! (and the mountain was very quick to respond when we visited the snow drift in the car)

Summary: This delightful condo was perfect for our gathering of 8. The common areas are perfect - generous dining table, a kitchen you can cook in with a gas range, vaulted ceiling which makes the space feel spacious, gas fireplace and windows complete the vibe. Bedrooms, lower level and loft provide an assortment of sleeping areas. Minutes from the slopes-- no driving necessary! Look forward to returning.

Summary: We stayed for a few days for some skiing at Schweitzer. We had 4 adults and 4 teenage boys. First of all, Carol, the owner, was very helpful and very prompt in her communication. She helped us extend our original reservation by an additional day despite the unfriendly process on Vrbo. Getting to the property and the checking was very easy and the welcome letter we got was very helpful in the process. Once we got there, we realized that the place is half of a building, where one half is a rental, and the other is reserved for the owners. One of the bedrooms is downstairs (the one with the futons), and that's where our teenage boys had their den. The upstairs is very spacious and consists of a living room, a kitchen, and three bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is a loft over the living room, and does not have a full wall separating it from the living room. It does have its own bathroom though. It worked well for us, but it is something to keep in mind. The slope access is not a direct ski out, but it is pretty close. It took about 10 minutes to get to the slope most of the days. Driving to the lift is definitely not necessary, and we never did. The place was very clean and welcoming. All the necessities were provided. There was plenty of stuff in the kitchen, which made preparing meals easy. Garage is quite large, and there was a lot of space there to leave the skis. There is also a boot room, which is very helpful when coming back from skiing. In general, we were very happy.

Summary: This is a spacious split-level house that is walking distance to the Village. It is also just a quick 5 min drive to the lower Ski Parking lot for Schweitzer. With a group of 7, we had plenty of room to spread out and relax during our stay. The main floor living area and kitchen has all the essentials for an at-home evening nacho night or the early start breakfast burrito scene. For our crew, this was the perfect 3 day holiday weekend basecamp @ Schweitzer Mountain.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at Schweitzer. We booked it for a multi family ski trip and the place is very spacious. The kitchen is well equipped and comes with kid friendly plates/cups. Very much appreciated. Very clean place and great location. St Bernard's is just up the hill.
