Experience the best of both worlds with this home 2500 sq ft country home, presented by StayBettr Vacation Rentals. You'll wake up in the mornings with deer in the backyard, yet you're only 20 minutes from grocery stores and attractions.


Indoor sauna and EV charger will be available from October 2025 onward. In the Rec Room, you'll find ballet barres, stretching, equipment and mirrors. Fitness classes can be streamed to the studio.


Two decks and a patio to enjoy the mountain breezes, sunsets, and stars here in the Catskills. Front deck includes a grill and table seating for 6. The patio under the front deck includes table seating for 4. The rear deck has several seating options so you can enjoy the deer and wild turkeys grazing in the backyard. There is also a fire ring in the backyard.

Main Level:


Bedroom 1: King Bed, Television, Dresser, Closet, En Suite Bathroom w/ Shower


Bedroom 2: Queen Bed, Closet, Chest of Drawers


Bedroom 3: Full Bed. Closet and Chest of Drawers.


Bedrooms 2 and 3 share a bathroom with tub on the main level.


Lower Level:


Bedroom 4: Queen Bed, Pack and Play Crib, Dresser, Closet


Media Room: Full Size Sofa Bed. Privacy curtains can be closed to separate the space.


Recreation Room: Full Bed with Twin Bunk above, Dresser. Privacy curtains can be closed to separate the space.


All spaces on the lower level share a bathroom w/ double vanity and shower.


Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the entire property including back and front yards.

The Neighborhood:


Swinging Bridge Reservoir is the largest largest lake in the Sullivan Catskills, and one of the few that allows motor boats. You'll feel removed from the city, but still within 20 minutes of groceries and things to do. The neighborhood is a mix of seasonal homes and year round residents, with houses sitting on multiple acres of land. At one end of the street is a public boat launch, and just around the corner are two full services marinas--Starlight and Swinging Bridge Marinas.


Getting Around:


We recommend having car for your stay. Taxis are available, but ride sharing services are more sparse. Rental car services are available in Monticello. Shortline provides service between the city and Monticello as well.


Otisville and Port Jervis Metro North Stations are each approximately 30 minutes drive from the house. The trip from NY Penn Station to Otisville is about 2 hours. Train access is great if you have members of your group who need to arrive/depart at different times.


Things To Know:


You will be required to sign a rental agreement after the booking is confirmed. Full terms of the agreement are available on request. Additionally, you will be required to upload an approved government identification card or passport when you complete the rental agreement. If you have questions about either of these requirements please message us prior to booking.


Rentals of the property requires a $500 security deposit via credit card, or to pay a $70 fee to waive the security deposit.


Up to two dogs may stay at the property. The first dog is includes in the nightly rate. The second dog incurs a $25/night fee.

Summary: Great property, and one of the most thoroughly stocked VRBO locations we’ve ever stayed at - from the kitchen/cooking/dining items (even an almost a full spice rack!) to bathroom items (eg. hair dryers, cue tips, etc) - this place had everything. Smooth check in, responsive host/property manager, great hot tub and fire pit area,. It was perfect for our family of 5, and our friend’s family of 4. Plenty of room for all, ample sleeping arrangements, 3 full baths. Incredible. We’ll be back!

Summary: Overall it was a good place to go if u want to just get away from the city. Definitely a quite area but once you go about 15 mins away to monticello it Definitely starts to become more of a small city vibe. The only negative remark i had for the place was the fact of having cameras on you while in the hot tub. I understand why its there for security and safety reasons but Definitely a bit wierd. Thanks

Summary: Nice location, pretty drive through park & woods. Kitchen could use serious upgrade with better pots & pans - oven was dirty causing smoke throughout house due to grease burning off - multiple fire alarm triggered. Microwave small and greasy as well (we didn't use). Fireplace worked as expected and living areas comfortable

Summary: Our group of eight stayed for a week at Lee’s place before heading back to school and work. The house is spacious, in a quiet wooded area and very well equipped. The lower level is perfect for teens to spread out, play games and watch movies. We enjoyed sitting outside on the spacious deck with coffee each morning and a glass of wine in the evenings. Communication with Lee was excellent, thanks again!

Summary: The property had everything we needed as a group of women looking to get away for a little R&R....lots of beds and bathrooms and plenty of places to gather and hang. Close to a marina where we rented a boat for an afternoon. We saw a show at the nearby Forestburgh Playhouse and had a great dinner too at Solaia. Nearby hiking and festivals to attend. Plenty of areas to play cards and games. All in all we had a great stay.

Summary: We were a group of 5 and we really enjoyed this house! Everything was so clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were stocked with toiletries including shampoo and conditioner! The kitchen was well equipped. Thankfully there is a Walmart nearby where we could grab some groceries. The beautiful and serene environment was very relaxing and enjoyable. We grilled our food and ended our evenings with a bonfire. We were very entertained with the pool table, and the mini theater room so much so we didn't even venture out to do nearby activities! The host, Lee was very responsive and very helpful in suggesting things to do in the neighborhood. I highly recommend this house, and I intend to come back.
