This spacious country home provides an ideal setting for families and friends to truly enjoy the mountains, valleys, waterways, and towns of Western Montana.
The home features 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a fully-equipped galley kitchen with adjacent dining area, laundry room with new washer and dryer, and 2 living areas, one w/smart TV. Satellite TV service and Internet access are available. Central air conditioning and heating makes the summer months cool and inviting, and the winter months warm and cozy.
The rates quoted are for an occupancy of 6 guests, including children one year or older; additional fees will apply for groups of more than six guests total. Please contact the owner to make arrangements to include additional guests. Travelers are asked to review the owners' Rental Agreement attached to their reservation and ask for clarification if needed.

The property includes 2.5 acres located 15 - 20 minutes south of Missoula, home of the University of Montana and divers sights, sounds, and opportunities for shopping, eating, and recreating.
Day trips by car, motorcycle, bicycle, and afoot abound. North from Missoula, head through the Mission Valley to the towns of Polson and Bigfork, and savor the beauty of Flathead Lake. Head west from the town of Lolo to Lolo Pass and beyond and take time to hike to Jerry Johnson Hot Springs. Travel south through the Bitterroot Valley as far as Lost Trail and Chief Joseph Passes while enjoying the grace and majesty of the Bitterroot peaks. Venture east to historic Butte, setting for the Montana Folk Festival in July, or the delightful town of Phillipsburg, home of the Sapphire Gallery. For bicyclists, the scenic Bitterroot Trail extends from Missoula through Hamilton and provides a safe, paved surface to explore the Bitterroot Valley. The Trail is minutes away from home. Hikers may choose from dozens of well-marked, scenic trails along the Bitterroot Range.
The rivers, streams, and lakes of western Montana are renowned fisheries. In addition, they provide myriad opportunities for boaters, rafters, canoeists, and kayakers. Any number of local businesses would love to outfit and/or guide water adventure-seeking visitors. This home is a 20 minute walk to the Bitterroot River where guests can stroll and fish along the river’s channels in Chief Looking Glass State Park. Summary: A nice homey comfortable house. Four really nice bedrooms to choose from and a wonderful big front porch. We watched deer in the yard every day and the sun set over the mountains.There is so many things to see and do in that area! We already had a big list and soon discovered even more. The perfect house in the perfect location.

Summary: We were on a family trip and stayed in Marlene and Mick’s VRBO. They were wonderfully helpful in finding places to shop for food and restaurants in the area. The house was clean and comfy for 5 people. And of course the two boys were glad there was an internet connection. The scenery and wild life is great. Will hopefully be back!

Summary: We were taking a 3-generation family trip to Montana. Six of us were quite comfortable in Marlene's home. My in-laws loved the master suite. We had plenty of space and everything we could have needed. The kitchen was well equipped. If you are looking to explore the Bitterroot valley, this is an excellent place to stay.

Summary: We had a wedding in the Florence, MT area and spent 3 wonderful days at the property. The home is very welcoming, clean and stocked with everything we needed. The views from the porch are amazing! It was a very relaxing place to be. Would definitely recommend it for anyone. Marlene made a point of welcoming us on arrival as well. We did not have any issues that we had to contact her. Thank you!!

Summary: My daughter and I stayed here while in town for a wedding. The house was perfect for our needs. Margaret was a great host. She met us when we checked in and even had some yummy chocolate chip cookies ready for a snack! The view from the porch was amazing. I sat out there for hours reading and enjoying the view. I would definitely stay here again if we come back to Florence.
