Summary: The only negative I have for this house is there is no bedroom on the main floor. In the description, it said there was a bedroom on the first floor, but actually, its in the basement. I had an elderly sister who used the upstairs bedroom and she has a hard time climbing up and down stairs. Also, the bedroom in the basement has no bathroom available without going upstairs to the main floor. Other than that, the house was perfect for what we were looking for. Its kinda tucked away and if coming in at night, can be hard to find. Thank goodness for GPS.

Summary: Great space and easy to get to the things we wanted to visit in the area. Cabin is secluded in the trees which was nice and private. Only negative was the noise of trucks and other vehicles on highway. Nice comfortable bedrooms and well equipped kitchen

Summary: Our family really enjoyed our trip to ME. The house was exactly what we expected. We wish we stayed a little closer to Bar Harbor. I would recommend this location to other travelers for sure.

Summary: We had a great stay in Maine. This cabin worked perfect for our family. The 3 bedrooms upstairs were great for 1 family and the private bedroom downstairs was perfect for the 2nd couple. The location was great for day trips to Acadia and Bar Harbor!! The host was wonderful and quick to reply with travel suggestions and had a nice welcome basket. We enjoyed every morning and evening out on the deck, played many games of corn hole. The only thing to consider is that you can hear the traffic most the time. We grew used to it but a good thing to know if you are hoping for super secluded. Overall, great choice!

Summary: We really loved the cabin with the beautiful views of Acadia from the deck. It was very comfortable and spacious for the entire family. The furniture was really nice and comfortable. The location was great between both sides of Arcadia. We used the cabin’s guidebook and hiked the Sundew Trail at the Schoodic Peninsula and has a picnic at Frazer Point. Nearby the cabin we went to Ironbound restaurant and had an excellent dining experience. We only wished we stayed longer.

Summary: Lovely stay at the Down East Cabin! Nice and spacious with plenty of room for my family. The inside of the cabin is nicely decorated and features comfortable and functional furnishings. There were a couple items missing from the kitchen that would have been nice to have (a couple extra serving bowls, cutting boards) but that wasn't a big deal). The location was very convenient to Winter Harbor and the entrance to Schoodic. Be sure to travel just a short way up the road to the Dunbar Store (quaint and beautiful) and to visit with some local lovely shopkeepers at the little antique store and local winery. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. A great trip!

Summary: We stayed for 3 days and cabin is excellent. Looks exactly like pictures. Clean and well maintained. Will definitely come back and recommend it to others
