This 4 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom house is perfectly located only a short drive from the many local attractions—Lake George, Six Flags, Saratoga Race Track, and Gore Mountain. A little more driving, and you can visit Lake Placid for the day or the state capital. The lake is less than a mile away, so you can enjoy the water and all the activities it has to offer during your stay.
The house is recently remodeled and boasts a beautiful sitting room with a wood-burning stone fireplace. Let the kids enjoy board games or TV in one living room while you relax in the other. There is plenty of space for the whole family to enjoy themselves.

Summary: This property is great for those on a budget. There is a fire pit, fire place, and hot tub. However, the house is fairly old and in need of updating. Although the code unlocked the door, the door was very difficult to actually open, requiring many attempts each time. There were about 30 ladybugs in the bedroom that we had to kill. There were blinds on the downstairs bedroom that were stuck and rusted into the “up” position so if anyone is light sensitive that room will not work to sleep in. Other than that, the place worked out just fine for our needs.

Summary: This is a nice and cozy cabin that’s near some ski destinations in upstate NY and Vermont. There’s a beautiful lake nearby and the whole neighborhood is very pretty. The cabin itself is also quite cozy and nice with a hot tub as well. Some of the rooms look a bit dated and need some renovation (e.g. holes in the walls). Make sure to bring your own toiletries and condiments. Overall, Alyssa is a great host and quite responsive with any queries you might have!

Summary: The house was nice, it was quite spacious. The property manager Alyssa was quick to respond to any inquiries. Large yard with a fire pit and a recently installed hot tub was a plus. The house is located on a very quiet road, it was about 30 minutes drive away from most attractions so that wasn't bad. The rest of the family really liked the place as well. Would recommend if you are looking for a fairly large house to stay while up in the mountains.

Summary: We stayed in this house in winter time, we love the fireplace, house can use some improvements but overall consider what we paid place is good, we love the barbecue grill beds were comfortable, this place probably be much nicer in summer time.

Summary: It’s not fancy, but it is homey and warm, which is all we needed. As a large family, it can be difficult to find a place to stay while skiing that is not expensive. This house was perfect. The well-stocked kitchen and provided linens made packing and our stay run smoothly. The owner responded quickly to my inquiries. Would stay here again!

Summary: This property is lovely: great yard for yard games and a fire pit for a campfire as well as two large outside tables. Inside there are two living rooms and two large dining room tables. The kitchen is spacious and very well stocked. The washer dryer work beautifully - so nice not to need to bring lots of clothes on vacation. There are 4 bedrooms, each of which are very nice sized. The first floor bedroom is still in process - there is a curtain vs a door presently, but that worked well for the two who stayed there. Two upstairs bedrooms have a pyramid bunk in each room and the master bedroom has a queen size bed with a lovely cedar closet. The echinacea is breathtakingly beautiful in early August!

Summary: As advertised no place to stay really quiet, things you need to stay for a week available. Kitchen amenities were great. Not the Ritz but not a dump by any means. Great beds all mattress even kids room were comfy. Owners very responsive to ????? or needs for example needed a hard cheese grater they dropped one off for us. Will stay there again for sure already booked another weekend. Big yard for kids to run around in play hide and seek. Short walk to town water beach or park which has basketball court, tennis, bocci etc.

Summary: I stumbled upon this gem of a property and stay there for a weekend in October. The inside feels cozy and clean. The outside lawn offers tons of space for activities and sports. It’s a short walk from a great general store/breakfast place. The scenery is incredible, especially in the autumn with the changing leaves. Due to the remoteness of the area, be prepared to get everything you need early - stores close around 7-8pm from my experience.

Summary: This property was very convenient for us. The bedroom arrangements worked great and near daily campfires out back. Walking to the town beach but the best walk was to the Adirondack Village store and eatery. The whole area around Schroon Lake is beautiful. Found great beaches. Highly recommend. The house is still being updated but that was ok for us and the price was reasonable.
