This 5 bedroom 6 bathroom has everything you would want for a great vacation. This spacious estate home feature is a great location, spacious interiors but does have some older furnishings and finishes. This is what we consider a value property because its interior is worn and dated but its a great location. Gorgeous views of Pine Island sound, a large screened in pool, u-shaped boat dock in your backyard, a tiled sun deck with great views and a short stroll across the street to the amazing beaches of Captiva Island have family dinners in the large tiled dining room with seating for 10 or more. The spacious great room featuring beautiful views, a large flat screened TV, fireplace, vaulted ceilings and two older but comfortable couches. The kitchen has Corian counters, stainless steel appliances, a large breakfast bar and views of the bay. There are three spacious bedrooms in the main upstairs living area. Walk out onto your private deck from the large master suite with the king sized bed, ample closet space and attached master bath with dual sinks. The second guest suite has a queen sized bed and an attached ‘Jack and Jill’ bathroom. The additional guest suite has two twin beds. The ground floor of the home has a separate fully finished apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a large living & dining area overlooking the pool and its very own full kitchen. The small kitchen features white cabinets, a range, refrigerator, sink, dishwasher and breakfast bar. Walk into the large tiled living and dining area with its own patio looking out onto the pool and views of the Sound. The first bedroom features a king sized bed, its own television and full bathroom. The second bedroom has twin beds decorated in a sports theme and also its own bathroom with a walk in shower. In addition the home has a large game room with a full sized pool table. This home is perfect for a large family or a couple families looking to enjoy everything Captiva Island has to offer.

These assessments are determined by Kingfisher management as well as repeated guest feedback indicating the property is in need of updating. Summary: The property was advertised as sleeping 12 and we rented it with a party of 12. When we got there we realized that it really sleeps 10. The other 2 would have had to sleep in an old pull out sofa in a musty room attached to the garage (not the main house or the apartment). We opted to have our kids sleep in bed with us, which wasn't the most comfortable. The pool was great and the beautiful beach is a short walk away. The property manager was very responsive and helpful when we had a few issues that needed attention. As others have said, this house isn't the most updated, but it's got almost everything you will need in a beautiful location.

Summary: The property was interesting and spacious. The pool was warm and a favorite to hang out in. Dock provided views of the river and wildlife. Saw a few dolphins swim buy. The house itself has not been updated, as was stated on the listing, and a little “dog eared”, which was OK with us. The place was neat and clean, and provided plenty of room and privacy for our family.

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay. Wonderful atmosphere. Big living room to watch movies at night. We fished in the backyard pier, swam in the pool, played pool in the downstairs playroom. Rooms were all spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms were nice and plentiful. Location is close to everything in Captiva and Sanibel. Really can't say enough good things.

Summary: Spent a week in this property – when booked it was categorized as a “value” property and, as explained to us, only meant it was not as updated as other properties. We agree, it’s not updated, but it did not matter – everything worked just fine. The house was super clean and very spacious. Having the separate living quarters on the pool level was wonderful for the teenagers (and the rest of us). Note, you do have to go outside to walk down to the separate quarters, but not a big deal to us. As for the pool, heated to a wonderful temperature. Bonus on the space adjacent to the garage which had ping pong and billiards. Location is great – right over bridge from Sanibel so very convenient to north Sanibel cluster of stores and restaurants, and also convenient to Captiva village. House is on a channel/sound so great fishing off the dock. Deeded pathway to beach across the street was convenient – and relatively private. We’d stay there again. Property management company was great. Recommend renting bikes and/or street legal golf carts and kayaks (property has a launch area).

Summary: My family and I enjoyed the open space of the home and never felt that we were all "on top of each other". Our kids loved the pool as well as the dock out back. They spent most of their time fishing off the dock and just relaxing. It was a great place for 4 kids (between 12-17) and they were never bored. Quick walk to the beach as well as bike riding on the paths - highly recommend a visit!

Summary: Loved the home and location. Also great communication with you guys. Only complaint was some of the cleanliness of the home. Upon arrival to the home there were still sand in the shower and some other areas of the home. And also that the some parts of the pool cage screen was not up and hanging around which let bugs in at night. But overall an awesome home and would love to come back. Thanks!

Summary: We loved this place. We had 8 people and had more than enough room to spread out and enjoy the house, the pool, the dock and the beach across the street. Downstairs has a separate entrance, which made it great for my daughter and her family to have a quite place to relax and for the kids to nap. We loved everything about the Green Heron and hope to stay here again next year!
