Welcome to a piece of paradise. As you enter through the front door, you will be hugged by the abundance of "the wilds." This experience begins in a modern home with rustic vintage delights. This jewel has everything a family, a crew, a group or private gathering requires. This 1800 sq. ft 2 bed 2 full bath house on 2 plus acres of land, boasts spectacular mountain and river views and amazing sunsets. If you must "get away" this is the place to be. You will be comfortable and close to everything you would like to do or see here in Nelson and surrounding area. There is plenty of space inside and out, so bring all your toys to the games.
The upper level of the home offers an abundance of space. A bedroom w/king bed. Custom bathroom with floor to ceiling tile, in floor heat w/ walk in shower. Full Kitchen, living and dinning space with vaulted ceilings allows for everyone to enjoy each others company. From here, expand your experience and step out onto a 400 sq. ft. covered deck overlooking the Kootenay River. On the lower level, you have another bedroom w/queen bed, another full bath w/ soaker tub/shower. A Large open concept space for entertainment. There is a Queen Murphy-Bed for extra guests and the entire Lower level has radiant in floor heat. Again, walk out onto a second covered deck also overlooking the river.

Summary: We enjoyed the views from the patio. There were deer on the property and the beautiful birds would land in the close by trees and come sit on the railings of the patio. Very relaxing and nice place to stay.

Summary: Wonderful and relaxing property. Owners were very accommodating and responded very quickly to enquires including offering us a generator when the power went out for a couple hours. Definitely will recommend the property to family and friends.

Summary: Was a great weekend getaway. House was perfect for 2 couples . Had everything you needed . Close enough to town. They even left a little gift because they knew it was my birthday . Definitely would stay there again

Summary: Absolutely loved our stay with all the amenities we needed and then some! Though days were warm, the place was well suited with fans which kept the place completely breezy during the day and cooled down quickly at night. We loved the balcony overlooking lush trees and the river, the hammock was an added bonus! The place is definitely remote which is what made our experience so fabulous, quiet, remote, and peaceful! Our hosts were great and very responsive. This beautiful home was clean, cozy, bathrooms were spacious and modern stone surround, beds and sofas were ridiculously comfortable. We're already planning our next visit. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Summary: Perfect little spot in beautiful surroundings as a home base for a family vacation near Nelson. The space was very private, clean, well thought out and had everything we needed during our stay. Highlights were hanging out on the deck in the early morning/evening, cooking meals on the bbq, and visiting the many beaches close by. Communication with the hosts was responsive, helpful and timely. Overall, we had had a great time with wonderful memories made!

Summary: When first got to the rental wanted to wash my daughters outfit as she got sick on the car ride and came to find out the laundry room was locked so that was disappointing so for that reason this place wouldn’t be ideal if you want stay more than 3-5 nights . Another reason you don’t want stay too long is that the rooms don’t have any dressers or closets to unpack into so had to live out of our suitcases. The house was nice and was by the river but you can’t get to the river from the house it’s blocked and rough terrain behind the house . Beautiful and about 20-25 min away from Nelson which in the long run we liked but you do have to get in the car or have a bike to get anywhere. The house was set up nice with amenities and the owners live close by so I guess I could of messaged them and asked to get the laundry room unlocked but was afraid it would of been an extra fee. I would rate it a 8 out of 10 .

Summary: The location of the house was beautiful, it is about 20 minute drive to Nelson, 10 minutes to water access at Tanghum beach. Communication with the owners was great! The deck is nice with lots of seating. Couple things we felt would have made it better; a mirror and towel bar in the main bathroom and proper lighting, laundry machines, dishwasher, and a quieter fan for main floor bedroom. Beach towels would be great too.
