4wd is needed in the winter to navigate steep windy drive. Wonderful home for family and friends to get together and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of a private hillside chalet on 20 acres. Loaded with amenities to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable. This four bedroom house boasts a beautiful master suite on the first floor with the other three bedrooms upstairs. Easy access is gained through the rear of the house with only a two step entry into the house. There is a very kid friendly play room downstairs along with a nicely equiped gym. The large theatre room to enjoy your favorite movies (some provided in house). The granite kitchen is beautifuly appointed with quality appliances along with the essentials of dishes, cooking pots and pans, and silverware. There is a BBQ grill outside the kitchen door for your convenience. Enjoy the beautiful surrounding hillside vistas along with stunning sunsets from the living room or the surrounding deck. There are over 20 acres for you to enjoy along with a playhouse and sandbox.
There are quite a few things to enjoy within a short drive including:
Six Flags - Great Escape Amusement Park- Lake George area
Lake George also has a great downtown area, nice shopping outlets, Fort William Henry, and several fun areas for kids including Magic Forest (great park for smaller kids), mini-golf, go-carts, laser tag, indoor trampoline park, indoor playgrounds, roller skating rink, not to mention all the great lake activities like jet-ski rental, boat rental, hiking, million dollar beach, para-sailing, and ferry rides.
Just across the Vermont border is Lake St. Catherine, with mini-golf, paddle boat/canoe rental, fishing, hiking and a state park, and a little further up is Lake Bomoseen.
Saratoga is also a short drive and has a very nice downtown area and is in the middle of horse track season 7/21-9/4/17
Manchester VT is also a short drive and is a quaint Vermont village with shopping outlets.

Summary: Very large and spacious home. The views were truly amazing. Sitting on the deck at night made me feel like I could pluck the stars out of the sky. Also, saw several shooting stars. On the downside, paper products were a bit limited, and the house could use a good cleaning. Also, living room furniture should be replaced as the couches are pretty saggy and worn. Otherwise, a good place to get away from it all and relax.

Summary: If you’re looking for a secluded house with great landscape to look at then look no further. Our dog loved the 20 acres to run around on and we loved being able to see the rolling hills from almost anywhere in the house. Everything was provided and the property manager was very helpful when needed. Would definitely recommend this to friends and family.

Summary: My family and I rented this property for a little winter getaway and we all had a great time! The house is beautiful, great for adults and children with everything you need and lots to do. John is great and gets back to you fast. Would recommend this to anyone, especially in the winter. The hill is perfect for sledding and snow tubing, and the view is beautiful.

Summary: Hey John, thanks again for everything. You were available and helpful for the entire month we were there. I think I walked in assuming quicker internet speed coming from a city but the rural options were sufficient for streaming video, thanks for your help with that. I will say the space could use a deep clean when you get the chance. Otherwise impressed and pleased with the house, view, and atmosphere. Thank you again! *Just an FYI there is a confederate flag on the shared drive-way, which may be off-putting for some and could be helpful to disclose in future posts.

Summary: It was amazing to be in what seemed like the middle of nowhere, but with most of the comforts of home. The views were unmatched, and PLENTY of room to roam both within the house and on the property. Definitely heed the warning about AWD/4WD and good ground clearance in bad weather!
