4 Bedroom House in Town of Marbletown, Kingston

Nestled between the Catskills and the beautiful farmland of the Hudson Valley, this 4 bedroom home is large and comfortable. In summer, enjoy the saltwater pool with blue-stone patio set in a wildflower meadow. In all seasons, you will enjoy what the Hudson Valley has to offer. Dog friendly, so bring your dogs and let them run around on our beautiful 8 acre property!
Pool is heated and is open Memorial Day - Labor Day.
We are 4 miles from the town of Stone Ridge so very near to a great grocery store, liquor store, pet store, as well as a farm Stand, Chinese food, sushi, pizza, coffee and more. There are more restaurants in the neighboring towns of Rosendale & High Falls. Uptown Kingston is about a 10 minute drive and Woodstock, New Paltz & Rhinebeck are all under 30 mins away.
The layout is great for entertaining and hosting groups of friends or family. In addition to the eat-in kitchen area, there is a living room with a wood-burning stove as well as a separate dining room and a library / office. Bedroom 4 is large and very kid-friendly, it has a queen bed + 2 twin beds and has been used to either hold a bunch of kids or parents with young children who would like to all be in the same room.
You will need a car at this property but if members of your party are arriving separately, there are multiple public transportation options. Take the Adirondack Trailways bus to Rosendale or Kingston or take Amtrak to Rhinecliff. All of these are about 20 minutes from the house. There is room for parking for 3-4 cars.
There is a large flat field, suitable for sports of all kinds (soccer goals are there now) as well as a salt-water in-ground pool with a bluestone patio, fenced for safety, open in the summer months.
The property is NOT suitable for parties, events or groups of 20 or more.

Summary: We had a great time at this property! We had two couples and three kids ages 8, 5 and 1. The kids loved the pool and also the HUGE kid friendly bedroom upstairs. Lots of space for them to explore. The kitchen and living space was open and inviting. Thank you So much for hosting our fam. This was our favorite rental yet

Summary: We stayed here to celebrate my husbands birthday with our son and friends who also had kids. It was absolutely perfect. The yard is perfect to relax in and have kids run around and play. We enjoyed grilling our dinner and spending time on the outdoor deck. The house is also a lot larger than it looks from the outside. The room upstairs was a hit for all the kids. They loved it, and the parents loved having a spot the kids could play while we were out on the deck having drinks and enjoying some quiet time. The home is also located very conveniently to Woodstock, Kingston, and New Paltz. We were able to visit each town on a short weekend easily. There is also a beautiful waterfall just up the street that the kids loved exploring. This house is perfect for families looking to relax while also keeping their kids entertained. We will try to come back in the summer once the pool is open for sure!

Summary: Charming home located close to Stone Ridge. Surrounded by farm land, area is very quiet and peaceful. Home is tastefully decorated with lots of interesting art. Plenty of room to spread out. Beds are comfortable. Large kitchen with modern appliances (that farmhouse sink!!) and expansive eating area. Great house for families.

Summary: Great location: close to local farmers market, grocery store, pet store and pharmacy. Easy access to NYC by Trailways bus (New Paltz), Amtrak (Rhinecliff) or Metro North (Poughkeepsie) especially if you rent for a few weeks and you need to leave your family and work. The kitchen was our favorite room in the house. It was well equipped and beautifully appointed. We spent every night eating in the dining room and playing games or watching TV. We were quite comfortable with our family of five with two dogs. The pool was also a big hit. Very peaceful to spend the day on a lovely isolated property. No noisy neighbors and the house is set back nicely from the main road. We have two large dogs - the yard is not fenced in and learned our Brooklyn dogs like to wander into the street (no one got hurt just FYI). I have been renting homes in various places around the country, several from VRBO, since 2004 and I am rarely motivated to write a review. This is a very special place and I highly recommend this rental.

Summary: The house is perfect for families and groups -- we stayed for a get together of far flung friends and the fireplace and kitchen made for perfect gathering places. The outdoor spaces would be lovely in the summer, too!
