Summary: We were here to visit our daughter for Roanoke College Family Weekend. We wanted to bring her favorite sibling--the four-legged furry one--so this place was wonderful for that reason. Super quiet, large backyard that my socially anxious puppo didn't have to share with others. The listing doesn't clearly list this as a basement apartment but you can figure it out if you look closely at the photos. Linda who lives upstairs was very nice and came out to greet us when we arrived but otherwise left us alone. It is a very stylish apartment with lots of thoughtful details throughout. It checked all of our boxes for a two-night stay. We could easily go back and forth to the campus and to downtown Roanoke with or without our pup who had his own spacious kennel.

Summary: After a drive of 7 plus hours, it was so nice to be welcomed with snacks, coffee, and water chilled in the refrigerator. The property is very conveniently located. We drove up and down the Blue Ridge Parkway, visited caverns, wineries, and shopped in many antique shops, all of which were relatively close by. The property was very clean and spacious. The on-site manager, Linda, is very accommodating and extremely responsive. The kitchen is small, but she brought a cooktop over, which was very helpful, since we were there for almost a week. If you have a dog, this is the place for you. They supply a crate, food/ water bowls, some treats, poo bags, and have a huge fenced in back yard. My dog (about 55 pounds) loved the yard and enjoyed communicating with some nearby dogs. My entire family loved the vacation and this property. My children (19 and 22) are still raving about it! Great property, highly recommend!

Summary: The Star Retreat was the perfect place for us! It met all of our needs (including our two dogs)! There were two large crates for us to use, dog towels and a blanket, poo bags, bowls for food/water and even a special treat left for each pup! The huge, fenced in yard was perfect for playing ball! The inside was clean, cute, and comfy! Three AC/heat units kept each room at the perfect temp and the shower is amazing! We needed a late check out and the host was SO accommodating and easy to communicate with. I would absolutely stay here again if I return to Roanoke!

Summary: We had such a lovely stay at Kelli’s! Our family (2 couples) got together here because we couldn’t see each other for the holidays. It was such a cozy spot to hang around and relax with the family, and then pop downtown to Roanoke when we wanted to go out! The backyard is huge and totally fenced in. Our pup loved running around so this was such a benefit. The kitchenette is a little small (toaster oven, microwave, sink, and fridge) but that was all we needed for our short trip. Overall the place is beautiful, comfy, great for pet owners, and a perfect way to see Roanoke!

Summary: we loved this property! its brand new and spotless! they even provide a dog crate, treats, and pet bowls! single serve coffee pot, and although you dont see them in the pics, a full size refrigeratort/freezer, toaster oven and small microwave. plus a selection of coffees/teas, creamers and snacks, etc. tv has netflix and an antenna for local stations. free wifi available so you can sign on to your own streaming service apps available on the tv or your personal devices. large bedrooms with plenty of closet space. one room has a queen bed and a double futon...plenty large enough for 4. the other large room has a queen bed. large fenced back yard perfect for pets and children. very nicely decorated. Linda was awesome and quick to respond to our questions. Very personable and friendly! we definitley will be back the next we visit the area and need a place to stay.
