Welcome to Villa Hatira.
Our house is set in one of Turkey's most treasured conservation areas famous for the nesting site of the Loggerhead Turtle and the Nile River Turtle. Villa Hatira itself is only 5 minutes gentle walk to the centre of Dalyan with its many bars, shops and restaurants, and overlooks a park and the famous Lycian rock tombs.
Villa Hatira has been finished to a high standard with three spacious ensuite bedrooms accomodating six guests. The two double bedrooms have their own balconies that overlook the private pool, garden and park beyond.
Villa Hatira sleeps six in two double and one twin room all with their own en-suite shower rooms. The two double rooms also have their own balconies overlooking the park and tombs and the private swimming pool. All the bedrooms air conditioning, as well as insect nets to all windows so that the bedroom windows can be left open at night so benefiting from the cooling breeze.
Downstairs there is a large air conditioned open plan living area which includes a well equipped modern kitchen with dish washer, washing machine, full sized cooker, gas hob and fridge with freezer compartment. The dining area accomodates 6 as does the lounge and both lead onto the large veranda which again overlooks the park and tombs and the pool, the best place to be to watch the sunset. Inside there is also a sunken Turkish seating area set around an Ottoman stone fireplace.
Outside, enjoy breakfast on the veranda overlooking the tombs whilst watching the birds come down to drink at the large private pool. You may then wish to have a cooling dip in the pool or jacuzzi followed by a b b q lunch and a siesta in the covered outside seating area. The perfect way to relax.
Free wifi will be available from 2013
For those who are eager to be more active there is plenty to do from visiting markets, hiring a boat for the day to visit the lake or many coves out to sea, canoeing along the river, mountain biking, bird watching, white water rafting, moonlight cruises, jeep safaris and much more. A folder of trips is available at Villa Hatira as is a good selection of games and novels as well as a DVD player.
Dalaman airport is the local airport and is only 25 minutes from Dalyan. Flying time form the UK is about 3.5 hours and flights leave from most regional airports. Please note that Villa Hatira is a non smoking house and that we also ask guests to remove their shoes in line with Turkish tradition.

Summary: we've stayed in a number of villas in turkey and various other parts of the world and looking back this place is a pain in the butt; as it has spoiled us, we're now trying to match this place and we're struggling. Being honest we stayed in 2013 not 14 but i couldn't select this date and was reminiscing about Villa Hatira and couldn't believe we didn't do a review at the time. the villa and Dalyan is for me and my wife simply paradise. the villa is spacious, beautiful and ideally located for Dalyan. Dalyan is great it has everything you need great bars and restaurants plenty of excursion companies (recommend Kaunos and the jeep safari). The best recommendation i can give is that we'd love to by the place if we could!!

Summary: A lovely villa, which plenty of space of relax both inside and out. The pool, and particularly the outside jacuzzi were great. We booked through Owners Direct, but a Turkish agent worked with the owners and provided helpful advice and organised trips which were great. The location of the Villa was perfect; far enough away from the action to be quiet, but within easy walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants. Highly recommended!

Summary: We were collected by the agents travel representatives at the airport and everything went smoothly, on arrival at the villa first impressions were excellent, lovely big pool, with shaded area's for eating, sleeping and reading eith enough sun loungers for 6 of us (which was important) modern kitchen, bathrooms, very spacious bedrooms and wonderful air conditioning - we couldn't recommend the villa more! There is a great little park opposite that has a little cafe and does the most amazing pancakes (sweet and savoury) which they will deliver to the villa! Dalyan is only a 5 minute walk away with lovely restaurants and some interesting shops. We had a day on the boat, seeing turtles, crab fishing and going to the mud baths which was the highlight of our holiday! Hope to go back one day.

Summary: Villa Hatira totally exceeded our expectations- it was absolutely fantastic. The villa itself is stylish, comfortable and child friendly and the garden area and pool are stunning. We have 3 young kids and the location was great, they could manage the stroll to town and when we did manage to lure them out of the pool, the playground opposite was handy. We will definitely return.
