Summary: The house and grounds are beautiful. The kitchen is well stocked. Everything was decorated for Christmas including a beautiful tree! Communication with the owner was easy. We went hiking in the Shenandoah National Park and explored the historic town of Staunton. We enjoyed a special anniversary dinner at Zynodoa which was superb. This property is the perfect blend of modern comfort and Victorian charm. Highly recommend!

Summary: We were so delighted to be able to snag this home in time for Queen City Mischief and Magic 2024. We had a large-ish party with a need for four separate bedrooms, and this was one of the only available options that was still an easy walk to town. There were tons of vintage touches in the home, as well as lots of HP theming (which was great for us; I'm sure they decide whether to do it based on who's staying there!) The upstairs bedrooms are air conditioned, so if it gets warm, you can retreat upstairs. There's a nice Thai restaurant literally right across the street if you want to grab takeout or do a sit-down meal just a stone's throw from your front door. I think the only age group I wouldn't recommend this for would be babies/toddlers, as there's no bathtub (nice big shower though) and there are lots of stairs.
