2 Bedroom Cottage in Hereford, Wormelow

Situated in the heart of the Wye valley, Old Forge Cottage offers the perfect location for your countryside escape. Our spacious cottage offers you the comfort of a double bedroom with an adjoining bathroom and a twin bedroom with an en-suite shower and toilet. A small kitchen. As well as this we offer a comfortable living area with log burner for those cosy winter evenings. We are ideally situated for walking and cycling. With many local attractions nearby you will be greeted with an abundance of opportunities to explore he area. The historic cathedral towns of Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester are all situated within an hour's drive.
There is ample parking outside the property but more is available if needed. We have a car-port area that can be used for storage of cycles and other outdoor equipment. We can provide a travel cot and high chair if requested, please let us know at the time of booking. The cottage is all on one level with only a small lip on the threshold to the property.
All bedding and towels are included. A simple welcome pack is also provided on arrival.
We have a strict no smoking policy for the cottage.
We welcome dogs all year round but please do contact us if you wish to bring a dog.

Summary: Really loved the stay. It was warm and comfortable and quiet. Owners very friendly. My only comment would be that a handrail in the bathroom, for climbing out the shower, would have been really nice. As said above, would certainly stay there again and recommend!

Summary: Rustic, spacious cottage, beautiful location. Well equipped, homemade scones on arrival, lovely touch. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Good dog walks nearby and easy access to Ross On Wye. The weather was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend.

Summary: Older property, well equipped with everything to make stay away from home easy. Efficient heating and lashings of hot water. Clean. On side of road but no intrusive noise. Parking and egress/exit easy in owners yard.

Summary: The hosts are friendly and welcoming on arrival. The cottage is generally clean and beds are comfortable. The kitchen has been refitted and has all the essential equipment. Plenty of hot water and no issues with central heating. Great location for exploring the area and ample parking for two cars.

Summary: We stayed for a short visit. Friendly and helpful host and a characterful cosy accommodation with everyone you need for a stay. Good access to Ross on Wye and Hereford and friendly locals. We really welcomed the wood burner even though the heating was great

Summary: Spacious (very) dog friendly cottage adjacent to the owners’ smallholding with access to paths around their interesting grounds. Relaxed and friendly owners offering helpful advice. A good base for visiting Hereford and Ross on Wye. We also visited Symonds Yat; lovely walking routes, picturesque setting along the river.
