Positive: We had a very nice stay at the Spiral. The location is very quiet and you have your own beach bay, which was beautiful. The AC in the tiny rooms, bed and amenities were very modern for the island life. The hosts were super nice and they have awesome raw cakes and a little menu to choose from like juices and bowls. The garden is super nice and a scooter is recommended.

Positive: “An inspiringly beautiful place. The tranquility, the view, the garden. The best porridge ever in the morning and Piña Colada at the sunset Terrasse, It was wonderful. Apparently, a lot has changed at this place since last year, because my wife and I were thoroughly delighted by this experience away from the tourist hustle and bustle.”

Negative: Check-in @ 4PM We stayed there for one night and we received the “check-out” instructions email two hours before our check-in time. Not worth the money spent for this place. If you look around you find better deals.

Positive: The staff member was really helpful and friendly. The location was fine with a bike we could get around easily. It was near a lovely quiet beach and the resort next door did lovely food and cocktails. It was secluded and felt private. Watch out for the cute dogs as they stole my sandals!!

Negative: We booked a ‘deluxe bungalow with sea view’ and from the photos it looked like it had a bath as well. When we arrived we were shown into a small bungalow, nice enough but pretty basic.. not a sea view and no bath.. we paid up front in cash and then sort of realised it was actually way too expensive for what it was- it worked out at 3000 baht a night which for Thailand is a lot (unless it’s really luxury! I did send a message about this and we were refunded a 3rd of the price for 6 nights, which I really appreciated! The bed and pillows were quite hard but this seems normal for Thailand.. it’s a fine room but I feel a bit too expensive for what it is. We wanted a bit of luxury to end the holiday and it wasn’t quite what we expected.

Positive: The modern bungalows Spiral are in a wonderful location.In a. Peaceful and remote area..This was quite important for us..No party area there..Keng who helped us with everything is an amazing person.. The owner also took in consideration some practical problems we had and solved them immediately.. We are in love with koh Payam..

Negative: The bungalows need more maintenance..We spend one week there but there is no-one to make up the room. So,.it. was our own.responsibility.like everything else. Maybe it was our fault but we thought it was a kind of a hotel.. .There is a need also for a constant presence at the reception....Some sweet but hungry dog family take things from the open houses.. Hahaha!
