Positive: what a friendly and totally relaxing venue site. I was so relaxed and the surrounding trees were a total plus. we are planning to come again and perhaps enjoy each season of the year. The rocking chairs by the fireplace are calling us beside a winter fire.
Negative: That we could not stay longer!
Summary: A totally relaxing and soul soothing experience. Back to nature.

Positive: The lobby was very beautiful ! We were very excited to stay in this newly renovated hotel.
Negative: When we arrived we were told that the elevator was out to use the steps! No offer to help with our luggage. We found an elevator to use . The room we got was in the basement the windows were too high to see any view! The bed was way too soft, and the room design was all wrong the bed faced The wall with the high windows .the dresser or tv both were off to the left of the bed. We went to the restaurant for dinner was asked what we wanted to drink when she returned as she walked away she said “it’s buffet tonight help yourself!”. For the price the buffet wasn’t worth it. And the service was terrible. We paid less at better hotel!
Summary: Terrible glad it was only one night.

Negative: The in room heat/ac blew air on the bed. Would have liked to be able to divert the airflow.

Positive: Spring Mill is located in the state park so beautiful surroundings, lovely walking trails, and peaceful . The inn itself was what a forest resort brings to mind, large stone walls, with lots of wood , big fireplace in main room and dining hall a great mountain/forest vibe. Loved it! We ate dinner in dining hall both nights we stayed at the inn. Both nights the food was good. I have seen posts that were negative about cost of food- being from California we thought it was not pricey at all! Plus it was nice to eat in a lovely place that wasn't noisy or had televisions. Nothing ruins ambiance and dining out than having TVs all around a restaurant. We also enjoyed the Gus Gissom little museum at the park entrance.
Negative: The queen room was small and would have liked a bit better lighting in the room. But we liked that everything was new!
Summary: Beautiful place to stay we would definitely recommend to others.

Negative: Two dining room servers did not seem well-equipped to mangage the few DR occupants or interested.
