Positive: The Square Hotel is owned by the same operator that also runs the Hotel Messeyne around the corner. If the hotel offers to upgrade you to rooms in Messeyne, say yes! It's fabulous.. Not that there is anything wrong with the Square Hotel - stayed here a few times and it was always very good.. Both hotels are in a great central location and the staff couldn't be more welcoming and friendly!

Negative: The Square Hotel has only very limited parking so you may have to park at the nearby public garage. No big hardship though - it's only a short walk away and secure.

Positive: We had a very spacious room with a large modern bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the lady on reception was friendly and helpful. The hotel was well located and within easy walking distance of everything.

Negative: Maybe tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice.

Positive: We had an upgrade to the neighboring hotel, it was spacious and the room was lovely decorated. Building, staff and atmosphere are all charming. Being able to check out at 12 is a real plus for rainy mornings. Gym looked great but we had no time to test it. Would recommend staying in this cosy hotel (messeyne) while you are in Kortrijk
