Positive: Super location - great week. In the host's defence I have previously stayed in a different apartment booked through booking.com. On arrival it was very clear that booking.com had never told them I was coming. Fortunately I had the paperwork printed out. They were very apologetic and helpful and also extended my stay by 24 hours without charge.

Negative: They only had one room key which was very inconvenient. The lighting was very dim and there appeared to be no bedside lighting, meaning going to bed in the dark. Later we spotted lights behind the bed but they didn't work. At first we could not see how to operate the shower but after going to the hotel it was explained. I was not very happy that the shower was in the bath and necessitated climbing in all the time. My partner was quite happy with it. The bathroom sink plug jammed in a closed position which we could not release. We were told that this was easy to solve and this was released in our absence. However, we didn't dare to use it again.

Positive: Great location, there was everything we needed in the apartment.

Negative: The manager gave me keys and told me to park the car in a garage. When we actually drove there (at night), the garage door didn’t open because the key was to the garage door inside the building, not the fob to open the door for the car. I don’t think she’s ever been there or understood how garage door look or work.

Positive: The apartment is nice and clean, has large balcony with a view. The kitchen is very well equipped. 5-7 min walk to Tasch railway station.

Negative: No washing machine or laundry service, reception was not able to help. No drying rack. Really strange for an apartment targeted to skiers. No pans in the kitchen, only pots

Positive: The apartment located just 5 min walk from the train station. And than it's only 12 min ride to Zermatt. Trains go every 20 min. It's a perfect location to avoid crowds and paying for overpriced hotels in Zermatt but still be able to enjoy all benefits of the ski resort

Positive: Great location, a lot of space, it was a studio not a hotel, quiet, the Village Taesch is near Zermatt and has a perfect train connection. The apartment/studio is part of the City Hotel, that is a couple of hundreds meters away, where the staff is helpful and friendly.

Summary: A great location near the best and most beautiful mountains of Europe.

Positive: Unbelievable location. Apartment was mainly used as a base to travel, but the village was lovely too. Nice and quiet at night and had an allocated parking spot. Great public transport and the scenery was to die for. Was very sad to leave.

Negative: Little bit hard to find the apartment, but that was more an issue with Google maps.
