Positive: Location, location, location!! The scenery was beautiful. The host was super nice and accommodating. Showers were camp showers, but warm and clean (for camp showers.) The tent was light blocking and the sleep pad more comfortable than some of the mattresses in guest houses. They had a centralized campfire, I had not see any other outdoor open flames during our visit. That was nice for the kiddos to toast marshmallows…it is camping after all. There were friendly horses to pet! Did I mention the location? We had exceptional Iceland weather which probably really amplified our stay here. We only spent one night on our ring road journey, but it is a place I could have stayed a few days comfortably. If you are seeking an affordable night in an expensive area, this is a great option. Glad we ditched the $400 night guest house and stayed here instead. Not only saved $$ but really enjoyed our stay.

Positive: Wild camping in nature.
Negative: The kitchen area could be a little more improved, but only outside cabin toilets are available. If you need shower you would need enter the house, where reception was which was awkward.

Positive: The owner is a good person. He really cares about the people who book for staying there. The weather was really bad and we needed our clothes to be dried. He dried them and did so with all the people who needed this service for free. He offered us a coffee in the morning.
Negative: Well, it is a camping. Hence when you book, consider that in september there could be a lot of rain and cold outside.

Positive: The tent stay was a unique and enjoyable experience, and we appreciated the cozy setup and natural surroundings. We enjoyed the bon-fire as well. However, a few aspects could be improved, such as better cleanliness and kitchen setup. The kitchen facilities were disappointing — one stove was not working and there were not enough utensils, which made cooking difficult. With some improvements in the kitchen, the overall stay would be much better.

Positive: The location was beautiful! The staff were very accommodating. The tent was made up when I arrived.
Negative: The kitchen only had one little stove and it got a bit crowded at dinner time but it made for a lively atmosphere.
