Summary: We had such a relaxing weekend in the woods. The house is quiet and quaint and had everything we needed for our girl’s weekend getaway.

Summary: We rented this house for the weekend to visit our daughter who is a student at JMU. It's just a short drive to Harrisonburg (20-25 min.) but far enough away from the crowds of parent's weekend. The house is exactly as described, very cozy and peaceful.. Wifi hotspot and DirectTV worked very well. Beds were comfy and hot water was hot. Unfortunately, it rained all weekend so we didn't get to use the deck but the view is really great. Having a 4WD truck during hurricane affected rains gave me peace-of-mind BUT a Volkswagen beetle made it up and down the roads with no issue. We went to Italian Touch for dinner one night based on the owner's recommendation and it was really good. Thanks for a great stay; we would definitely recommend this house.

Summary: This little house was just what the doctor ordered for a little getaway before school starts. The view was lovely and the beds were comfortable. The cabin had what we needed for a relaxing stay. My kids enjoyed checking out the creek down the road. Thanks to the hosts for providing things like dish soap, trash bags, and much more so we could pack lighter. It was a well stocked home. The kitchen had what we needed for basic meal prep but was not great for cooking a family meal because of its small size and very little counter space. If we were to stay here again we would not plan to cook dinners. The other minor complaint is that we had to live with our trash during the 4 day stay, and take it out with us, so that is another reason I would not plan to cook a large meal that produced stinky food trash. Of course we understand that bears make it impossible to leave outdoor trash cans, but this might impact our decision to come back to this location, and we certainly would not stay for longer than what we did because of this. Overall very happy with this experience and we do recommend this home for others looking for a little getaway spot.

Summary: This cabin features a beautiful mountain range view from both the living room indoors and the deck outdoors. A good choice for booking solo or with a small number of people. I particularly appreciated the rocker/recliners, a relatively unusual bit of furniture especially in small cabins. Some might find their lumbar support a little firm. Note that AT&T has essentially no service, but Verizon works reasonably well. The provided wifi hotspot uses Verizon. The cabin now has basic directv, but I didn't use it much at all. The drive immediately up to the cabin is no joke even in good weather, but you get used to it.

Summary: Really enjoyed staying in this cute and cozy cabin. It was well organized and clean. The deck overlooking the mountains was great and recommendations for restaurants spot on. Don’t recommend this site unless you have 4-wheel drive, the access road up is a bit rough in some areas. Would go again.

Summary: My wife and I did a 2 night getaway here and hiked the nearby Duncan and Strickler Knob trails (<30 min drive away). The house was perfect, just make sure you have an SUV and AWD in bad weather as noted by the owners!
