The Donald Ross Trail is a gorgeous five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bath home, located in the Homestead Preserve's Sheep Meadow neighborhood, and is less than a mile from The Homestead Resort. Sleeping ten, this stately brick home provides all the comforts of home and then some.
Get a good night’s rest in one of the four king-sized beds or opt for one of the two twins. Each bedroom has access to a private bath, as well as a covered porch. Gather in the living room for a family movie night and enjoy the warmth of the fireplace. Cooking is not a problem in the gourmet kitchen, complete with stainless steel appliances and a spacious island for food prep and mealtime. Dine as a group at the eight-person dining table and then head to the back porch to kick back and enjoy the quiet seclusion of your Hot Springs vacation.
The basement is complete with a flat-screen television, a wet bar, pool table, foosball table, and an integrated sound system that allows music to be played throughout the entire house. The Donald Ross Trail includes Wi-Fi, and we encourage you to bring your four-legged friend, as pets are accommodated for an $100 additional fee.
Guests also have access to the Old Dairy Community Center about 10 minutes away which offers a seasonal, outdoor pool, large indoor hot tub, game room and fitness center. **Please be advised that Old Dairy access is limited due to COVID-19, and will not be available if there is an event.**

Summary: Very comfortable. Well maintained. Functionally furnished. Lots of leisure spaces. Bathrooms could use more hooks and kitchen needs a pasta server. We were all very happy with this home.

Summary: We thoroughly loved our time in this beautiful home. Everything looked just like it did in the pictures and we even got an early check-in. We loved how close it was to the Homestead and that we could bring our dog. The house is made for entertaining and is set up perfectly. We will definitely be back

Summary: The property itself was amazing. The rooms were clean and nice sizes for our girls weekend getaway. There were 7 of us in our mid 40’s. Pros: Welcome boxes of toiletries. Every bathroom with shower had a welcome box with trial size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The boxes were sealed and we thought that was a nice touch. Cleanliness: Everything was clean! Spacious: Large, open Kitchen and living room to hang out. Cons: 1.) The master bedroom had hot water, but some complained that they did not have any hot water one evening to shower. 2.) The beds are spring beds and we recommend foam mattress toppers. I woke up really sore in the mornings. 3.) The doors and window locks. The window latches made it impossible to close. They were stuck open and we felt uneasy about that. They need to be fixed. The doors also (one in the parlor) was broken and took forever to close. You have to lift the handle up, but the entire fixture was loose, making it really difficult to lock properly. We felt uneasy at night about that.

Summary: Beautiful house and property. We were looking forward to a ski weekend, but the weather didn’t cooperate, however that did not inhibit our stay. The house has everything one needs, well stocked kitchen, lots of big rooms, large open family spaces and a game room for the children. There were 8 adults and 3 children under 8. Highly recommend this property.

Summary: We had an incredible stay over New Year's! The house was amazing -- from the beautiful and spacious bedrooms and kitchen, to the incredible basement / game room -- we couldn't have been happier with our stay! An added bonus was that the property was a short walk to the Homestead resort and a number of hiking trails. Also, the folks at Natural Retreats were very helpful and accessible throughout. Looking forward to booking again in the future!

Summary: Six friends from just outside of Richmond Virginia decided to come up and play golf at the Homestead resort. Found this spectacular house which was perfect for us!Only upgrade we would recommend is to the satellite TV package for sports watching capabilities and to the TV in the basement.
