Positive: The beautiful view from the spacious patio of a lovely nature area was the highlight. The structure itself is like new, clever in design, well made and has nice furniture etc. The unit has a private entrance and it is a quiet area. We appreciated the microwave and Nespresso machine. We had almost everything we needed (fans would have helped). The price was affordable relative all the places we saw closer to tourist attractions.
Negative: Unfortunately it was record heat for the 2 nights we were there, which was very unusual and of course not the fault of the hostess.There is no window for the bedroom, which is elevated from the living room/kitchen area, so the heat gathered there. There was no air conditioning and no fans So we had to leave the patio door, entrance door and bathroom windows open, which let in mosquitos. I did not like having to give 100 euro as a deposit, but this was noted in the listing. We got it all back without a problem. We have stayed many places and never had to do that before. The location has pros and cons, about 30 minutes from Antwerp. It is on a fairly busy road and nothing is walkable. Once inside, you would not realize you are on a busy road. The exterior of the building you walk past from the parking area needs weeding and is a misleading first impression, in case you view it on Google.
Summary: Nice place with a great patio, view, and nice hostess.
