Summary: The house was in a peaceful setting. It was very clean and well stocked. The pictures do not do it justice. Only 10 minutes away from restaurants and downtown area. Front Royal is the gateway to the Shenandoah National Park.

Summary: We had such a lovely stay at John’s home! The house was well appointed and had everything we needed! It was super clean and comfortable. The location was great - quiet and serene at the end of a rural road. We loved hanging by the fire pit and having coffee out on the screened-in porch. Great, large yard for the dog to roam.

Summary: John did a great job making sure our stay was comfortable. We brought our dog with us and it was a PERFECT spot. The yard was great for her to play fetch. Listening to birds in the morning from the screened in patio was very relaxing. We even saw a deer wander by. It was a great getaway for us. I would definitely go back!

Summary: My family and I (three of us in total) stayed at this property for three nights - we did not want to leave! The home was spacious enough and very comfortable inside, but what sold us was the screened-in patio. From there, you have a view of the forest and open field that is part of the property. We had all our meals there and saw bunnies, foxes, and a multitude of birds. There is such a profound sense of peace, anyone who appreciates or craves the simplicity and beauty of the outdoors and country living will fall in love with this property. It is also a quick drive to the Front Royal entrance of Shenandoah National Park, as well as many nearby stores and restaurants. John, our host, was great and made sure we had what we needed. Wonderful stay overall!

Summary: First our trip was pushed back a week due to Hurricane Ian, because we live in Florida. I found this home and I am happy I did. Owner has great communication. The home was clean, equipped with plenty of towels, bedding, blankets, and full kitchen. We were visiting family in the area and it was nice to have a place to stay that was like having your own home to go back to at the end of the day.

Summary: We needed a base in the Front Royal / Strasburg VA area over the weekend and found John's property on VRBO. Online listing was accurate and house is, obviously, newly renovated. Location is a bit more remote than expected, but not atypical for the area. There were a couple small things that would have improved the overall stay .. more mirrors, tissues, additional waste baskets - but nothing that would negatively impact the perception of our stay. Very enjoyable weekend and definitely recommended for a couple or single family unit looking for a non-hotel getaway.

Summary: If I could give this property more than 5 stars I would. I have stayed at many rental properties in the past. This was by far one of the best. The house was immaculate and the amenities were great. I rented this house to visit Shenandoah National Park. This property was located close to the Front Royal entrance to park. It was also located near Front Royal city center. I would highly recommend this home.
