Summary: Perfect location. Everything was in walking distance. Fun funky place with a lot of character. Wasn’t a fan of the steps but the deck was great. Nice hot steamy shower and the bed was comfy though could have used a couple more pillows. The breakfast choices were lacking but there’s a great place right across the street.

Summary: There were two restaurants within a minute walk. A nice deck to sit on, a common area with a pool table. Lots of historic memorabilia. Close to the train station.

Summary: When we arrived we had to call a number on the door of the restaurant in order to get the manager. He did show up quickly. This is not handicap accessible. The area around the hotel was a bit shady. We quickly realized there was no one on the street. Antonito is like a ghost town. The room was small for a king bed. The bed was comfortable and a bit noisy the night we stayed. The restaurant smells from the first floor permeated the room. If you’re staying there to ride the Cumbre Toltec railroad it is a killer location. Won’t stay there again. We’ll drive the 40 min back to Alamosa.

Summary: The old building has a lot of charm and character. My mom and I really enjoyed our stay and they accommodated her disability. The owners were very nice and helpful. The Caboose has great burgers. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Summary: The Steam Train Hotel is a unique, period hotel which is commiserate with the vibe of Antonito CO. The Four Seasons this is not, but it was clean. All of the fixtures and features of the room worked just fine and security was decent for this small town America location. If you're in town to ride or watch trains, this hotel is a great way to get into the spirit of things.

Summary: Old facility that needs some renovation tyat they probably cannot afford. They are waging a lot of water in the toilet with a flapper valve that does not c;ose properly and significant water is leaking dangerously onto the floor as a result of a torn bottom seal on the shower door
