Our beautiful country home is situated on the high banks of the Fraser River with stunning views of majestic mountains. Step away from life's bustle into a spacious 2BR/1 bath cottage-like private space within our home. From your expansive sunroom, watch tug boats below while bald eagles soar above the meandering river or curl up with a book by the cozy fire with a cup of tea. Two spacious bedrooms and a big table provide ample room for 4 to dwell comfortably.
Out in the county yet within an hour of gorgeous Vancouver; surrounded by mountains and minutes from the Trans Canada Trail. This recently renovated English Tudor house was built by Albert and Mary in the 70's and has carried a legacy of warm hospitality ever since.
A private second-floor entrance welcomes you to everything you need within your space. A washer/dryer stacker laundry centre is in the suite. There is ample parking, a large yard, a field and a forest to relax or explore. You are free to use the spacious yard, the BBQ and decks overlooking the river. Please note that you must be able to walk a flight a stairs to enter this home.
A large hot tub and kiddy hot tub and a barrel sauna is the newest addition to our property. The hot tub can also serve as a cool lounging pool in the heat of the summer.
Wine tasting country is just minutes down the road from our house and Tuscan Farm Gardens are a few minutes walk away! We also have the beautiful trans-Canada trail just a couple of km's away from our door. Our neighborhood is friendly and spacious with lamas, cows, sheep and goats living nearby.
The Abbotsford international airport is a convenient 15 minutes drive away and the Vancouver airport and the Vancouver Island ferry is an hour away. Seattle and Whistler are only 2 hours by car. Vancouver and Abbotsford airport shuttles may possibly be arranged with the host for an additional fee. A large outdoor mall for shopping and a variety of international restaraunts are 8 minutes away by car. Having your own transportation to pick up snacks or see the sights would be helpful.
Some years from mid-to-end of June 23rd to the middle of August, mosquitos choose to visit our area. Some years they are in full force during the day and evening. Other years they hardly show up. It's difficult to predict when and if they will arrive yearly.
We live on site in the same house so we will be present to welcome you and to answer your questions but you are free to enjoy the space privately.
