Relax with the whole family at this peaceful vacation home in the Hocking Hills area! You will be close to all of the local attractions, including Hocking Hills State Park, Old Man's Cave, Lake Hope State Park, Lake Logan, Lake Alma, Ohio University, Moonville Tunnel, and many more! This property features a large hot tub, private above-ground pool, stocked pond for fishing and kayaking, gas grill, and is very spacious. The pond is shared with our other vacation properties.
Extended Pool Season.
We will keep the pools open through Sunday, September 29, 2024. We cannot guarantee what the weather will be like, but guests can use them at their leisure through this extended time.
Ours pools are seasonal and open from Memorial Day to Labor Day each season. We may open them sooner weather permitting.

Early arrivals and late departures are subject to additional fees. These requests solely depend on availability.

Summary: We were attending a wedding at a nearby lodge so this was the perfect place to get ready and have somewhere a little quieter to go once the wedding ended.

Summary: The good - The home is located in a quiet rural area that is very peaceful. The pond is very serene, and the home has a lot of space. The beds are very comfortable memory foam, and the side porch is really nice as a way to sit outside and enjoy the breeze in the shade. The hot tub has an enclosed patio on the other side that is nice and private, and was clean. Finally, the owner was immediately responsive to any needs we had. What I would have changed- The home needs many updates from cosmetic issues with the walls, to a stained jacuzzi tub and sink, to long grasses growing from the gutters, to stained and dirty patio furniture/outdoor areas. The room with the largest bed does not have a dresser or a closet with a door to store your clothes in. Overall the home is very dark, and not easy to figure out the lighting situation. To help with this the home is decorated with several cute decorations that are lit. The style of the home is in a vintage 80's/90's decor, even down to the Smurf and Muppet drinking glasses that I remember from my childhood, which I thought was kinda cool. The water is well water and therefore smells like sulfur. I read in a separate review that they have the water tested and checked regularly, but to bring bottled water if that's a concern. My family had a rural 2nd home growing up which also had that type of water, but to err on the side of caution (I really didn't want to chance someone having stomach upset) we did bring our own bottled water to use for coffee and drinking. The pool was very refreshing on some hot days. It did need to be vacuumed and the liner was bunching on the bottom. We caught more bluegill than we could count in the pond one night, and they have some benches/rocks around the pond to sit on so you don't have to bring your own chairs. Overall if you can think of it like what your own 2nd home in the country might be where maybe things aren't all in 100% working order, and well, it's the country so bugs are unavoidable and wifi isn't going to be great, you'll be set.

Summary: The property was very clean and welcoming. Grandkids enjoyed the pool and making s’more at the fire pit. Really close to ash cave and hope lake. Everything you need to enjoy yourselves. Definitely want to go back.

Summary: This property had nice amenities overall with nice home like touches. There are however repairs needed. Both the bathroom and kitchen sink faucets are very loose coming out you must be very cautious turning them on and off. The bathroom towel bar is loose and coming off the wall. They listed towels being provided however there were only four small towels for four adults for four days. There was no hand towel to dry your hands in the bathroom, or disposable hand towels. There was only one kitchen rag and one dish towel during the stay we would have liked to swap out daily for cleanliness. We enjoyed both the pool and the hot tub. However beware the ladder getting in and out of the pool needs to be fastened it is very loose and not properly secured. I had written to ask for toilet paper and was told they would deliver some but we ended up going to the store after several hours Because it didn’t arrive. We did however get two rolls delivered the following day. I had in advance contacted Vrbo specifically asking about the grill and was told there was a propane grill available on site. We planned on using it but it had no propane in the tank. I did notify vrbo as a courtesy and was told they keep a second tank on site and will switch it out for the next guest. There is a shared driveway and garage that was used throughout the weekend so if you take pets beware. I hope these comments are helpful to enhance the quality of the property for future guests.

Summary: Sometimes we just need some time away, even if it's just a night or two. My family really enjoyed this home, no one wanted to leave. Fishing, swimming, board games, comfortable beds, fire pit, everything we could ask for.

Summary: My boys (16, 8, 5 years old), dog, and I loved our stay at Kendra’s place! The pictures don’t do it justice! The house is very large and gave us a ton of room. My boys were in the pool every chance they got and we wound down each night in the hot tub. One day it stormed and we were so grateful for the board games. It was awesome having the kids unplug and play. We have Verizon and there was no service but the WiFi worked well. The AC was a lifesaver during the heat wave we were in. Our dog loved the huge yard and we would walk him around the lake - which he was a big fan of. Kendra is an awesome host - I can’t say that enough! Super responsive, attentive, and thoughtful. The house had everything we needed! Will absolutely stay here again when in the area!

Summary: Great location for our 2021 Family Christmas get away. The family had a great time relaxing and enjoying what the area had to offer. Great location cabin with everything we needed.
