Positive: It was a beautifully located and wonderfully preserved old Lebanese home where we slept in the beautiful architecture of an old home's cellar. The place was perfectly maintained and we felt like we were frozen in time! My parents and I were craving a retreat from Beirut, and this exceeded our expectations. Michelle welcomed us and showed us around his ancestors' home. We were so thrilled with the architecture and location, and his recommendation for dinner was exceptional. If you're looking for a local, historical experience of this beautiful Lebanese mountain town, stay here!

Negative: We honestly had so few complaints. We weren't sure if we were able to hang out in the beautiful upstairs lounges (preserved from Ottoman times!) but would've loved to if we could. And the rooms were slightly airless, what with it being in the cellar, so perhaps opening up the inner window and having a screen behind it could've been nice. Besides that, our only regret was not staying longer!
