3 Bedroom Cottage in Tourliac

This lovely stone cottage is situated in the triangle of the Bastide towns of Monpazier, Beaumont-du-Périgord and Villeréal. It is part of a small farm restoration, comprising of a holiday cottage converted from a stone barn, the original farmhouse, where the property owners (Jackie & Jim) live and a converted tabac barn now used as Jim’s joinery workshop. There is a large covered terrace with built in BBQ attached to the rear of the cottage with direct access to a private 5M x 10M salt water infinity pool.The upstairs of the property has three bedrooms, one with en-suite and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Downstairs there is a large lounge with a central heating wood burner, fully equipped kitchen/dining, walk-in shower room with separate WC , washing machine and sink. Private parking, large garden with panoramic views over the 5 hectares of the property.

Summary: We have just spent two wonderful weeks at Jacqueline and Jim’s beautiful gite with our family. Excellent accommodation and the view from the pool is amazing, we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Summary: Amazing stay at this beautiful cottage. The place was clean, nicely decorated and with all necessary amenities and more. There were dvd’s and games to play on the couple of rainy days we had but the infinity pool was a real treat on sunny days. The pictures do not do justice to the outstanding valley view from the pool area. The place was very quiet and the only sounds disturbing the peace where those of the wind in the trees, the cows and a rooster. Delightful ! We had lunch outdoors every day since there is a shaded covered area outside the kitchen facing the pool. A 13 minutes drive got us to pretty bastides full of charm where small supermarkets, bakeries and restaurants could be found. The hosts were a lovely couple that made us feel welcome. They even treated us with fresh eggs from their chicken. We would go back there in a heartbeat. A very relaxing holiday. Thank you so very much! Isabelle

Summary: This lovely gite is in a beautiful, very quiet location and has been lovingly converted with great attention to detail. Jackie is a wonderful host - readily available but also discreet and respectful of her guests privacy. The pool was our favourite place to be and the children absolutely loved it! The area itself is rural and very sleepy, but it’s easy to get to shops and restaurants in Villereal in less than 15 minutes by car. Thank you Jackie for providing such a beautiful place to relax and recharge.

Summary: This property has been sympathetically renovated in keeping with the local French style to provide ample accommodation for 6 adults. It is immaculate and thoughtfully equipped for a perfect self catering holiday. The saltwater pool was the highlight especially in the heat of August and definitely a must. We were able to visit several local historic towns and markets, all within 10-40minutes drive. We felt we had a bit of French countryside to ourselves as our hosts were completely respectful of privacy, yet available to answer any queries. Thank you for a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. We can recommend wholeheartedly !

Summary: This gite was perfect for us. A lovely place to stay with everything you need, welcoming and helpful hosts (with a dog whom my husband and son loved) and a really tranquil location. Perfect to get away from it all, but close enough with a short a drive to local villages. Just wonderful!

Summary: We have been able to spend a week in this fantastic house. Immediately upon arrival we felt at home here. This is due to the friendly welcome by the owners, Jacqueline and Jim and their lovely dog Ged. The house has a perfect location. Nice view, very quiet. But also close to beautiful villages. The house is fully equipped. And the pool and covered terrace are great. A week was much to short for us. We will definitely go back again.

Summary: A charming house with a fantastic view, pool, and outdoor facilities. The owner are very friendly and provide everything for a fabulous week.We will definitely come back.Just a point to add a Tv would be appreciated especially for sport in TV in July in France but that did not spoil at all and we did used their DVD player

Summary: What an amazing place Jackie and Jim have created! We had a fantastic week in Tourliac, visiting a lots of bastide towns and beautiful villages all only 20 minutes or less from the house. We had to drag our kids out of the pool. It managed to be big enough for 5 of us to play with lots of inflatables, whilst always being warm, especially on the cooler days! The house has everything you could need, comfy beds, great showers and a well stocked kitchen. The kitchen table was a good size but we ate outside for all meals under the useful veranda. Sitting out at night we were warm and when the sun was out the seating area remained cool. Thank you Jackie and Jim, you were perfect hosts, around when we wanted you (especially when you brought in our washing when it began to rain) but out of sight when we didn't need you. We would love to come and stay again, thanks was a fantastic holiday.
