Positive: Excellent location for Ullswater and walking around Helvellyn. The cottage is well appointed and very clean. The views are outstanding! A great place to relax with family or friends.
Negative: The lane to the property is quite rough in places - there probably should be a warning about cars with low ground clearance. Some of the pots and pans could do with replacement and some instruction on the dreaded induction hob would be useful. There were no instructions regarding waste - we segregated it but not sure if there was any point...
Summary: Lovely cottage for a reaxing break

Positive: Spectacular views and quiet location. Property is well equipped.
Negative: Distance from facilities is different to the one described. Village shops and restaurants are actually 1.5 miles so 3 mile round trip and the track is in a very poor state. The furniture is starting to look worn particularly the seats near the French doors. Better information on waste disposal would be useful with regards to recycling etc.
Summary: Fantastic Views but distances are incorrect.

Positive: Remote location up a long off road track, gave a sense of adventure and made for a memorable stay
Negative: Finding the property at night was not straightforward. The post code leads to a different address and it wasn’t clear in the description how remote the property was, nor how difficult it may be to access in winter without a 4x4.
Summary: Remote cottage up long off road track created a sense of adventure

Positive: The location is superb - the drive up the rough track is less than 10 minutes and worth it for the great walks from the doorstep and fantastic views. The cottage was comfortable, warm and well equipped. Nearby YHA for food and drink if you want.
Negative: Could do with one or two more mirrors - there are only small ones in the bathrooms so not easy to dry hair etc.
Summary: Fabulous stay high above Glenridding in comfortable, well equipped cottage.

Negative: The road going up to the property. Very uneven. Quite a few scraps to car underneath. Mercedes a class. 4x4, would have been much better.
