Summary: The VRBO site did not allow easy access to the landlord for communication regarding something I left behind, or the door code for arrival after dark. They wanted me to join some sort of blue wave app and when you’re travelling with virtually no signal, that’s difficult. I would have liked the Wi-Fi code in advance, because there is only a very weak signal there using data. But the cabin itself was lovely.

Summary: I spend New Year’s with my partner, and this is the perfect setting. The host was gracious and accommodating with some last-minute changes due to snow. We had a wonderful time and will be back. The price can’t be beat!

Summary: The property manager didn’t contact us until the very last minute even though we booked a month and a half in advance. There were dirty used slippers on the floor and there was no information on check-in/check-out or wifi password. We didn’t feel comfortable and ended up driving home. Our first bad VRBO experience.

Summary: This was a perfect place for a mini vacation in a mini house. It is super clean, cozy and warm. It had a very well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and pillows and the frogs croaking at night to lull us to sleep was absolutely divine. The property is beautiful and very quiet and the location to the lakes is excellent a short drive from the city. The only suggestions we would have is a few chairs and a table outside the cabin to enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktail and a few extra towels at this time of year as they don't dry overnight. We brought our own air mattress to give us each our own bed as I came with my teenage daughter. Plenty of room for that! Can't wait to come back.
