Positive: The apartment has a very good location - about 20 minutes walk from the city center, the street is quiet. The studio is spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. It is sort of cozy.
Negative: Even though the studio is nicely decorated and well equipped, it is not well maintained. The floors were dirty, the sink in the kitchen has a leak (I failed to find where exactly it leaks but some water was coming from somewhere underneath the cupboard after every use), I did not risk to use any cutlery before washing it, and there is black mold in the shower. As far as I understood from the info-list, the owners do not hire any cleaning and expect the tenants to take over it. No AC. I normally don't mind, but given the temperatures over 30 and high humidity it was a challenge. Also, the apartment is on the ground floor and the window goes in the street, so for safety reasons it is not even possible to open the window overnight. Passing over the keys did not go quite smoothly. With my train, I was coming about 16:30, so I requested through booking if I can come in before the official check-in time (17:00). The owner confirmed my request, but when I came to the place I could not reach them by messages; I tried to call the phone number from booking - the lady replied but she could not speak english, said something in french which I could not grasp and just hung up. I waited some more time and finally 3 minutes before 17, when I was already contemplating if I should contact the booking support, the guy came from the inside with the key (he was in the neighboring apartment this whole time). Now, I do not expect that the owners must shift the check-in time, but I would pretty much appreciate it if they did not agree to it if they did not plan to fulfill it. I was pretty tired from the travel, it was hot, and if I knew that I cannot get in before five I would just stop in some cafe on the way instead of standing there in the sun with my luggage for almost half an hour. BTW, at check-out, I requested 11:00 - the lady was standing at the door and ringing the bell at 10:45 and looked very annoyed about waiting for two minutes I needed to finish my packing.

Positive: The apartment located not far away from the main harbor, and also there is a metro station within walking distance. The apartment is modest (maybe a bit too modest for its price) and bit old, but everything worked well. The shower is a bit too low and short for tall people, but overall worked. The owner is a very nice lady, she met us for check-in and also collected the keys at check-out, it was easy to agree on the time. The curtains are very thin, so it is very important to know that there are external shutters for the window in this room - and there is a stick to pull them down and up, but you just need to know how to use them. At first we thought that we could not sleep with the light coming from the street, but then we found the shutters and the issue was resolved.

Positive: Very friendly and responsive host. Close to the scenic Old Port and its metro; while 5 bus stops away we only took the bus once and walked every day to and from the studio. Great bakery and restaurants nearby. Fully equipped kitchen with welcome treats and a fresh rose.
Negative: We didn’t like that it didn’t have Air Conditioner (A/C) and though the host suggested we open the windows there was little air circulation and street was very noisy.
Summary: Nearby historic Old Port, but noisy street level studio.
