Positive: Great central location yet peaceful and quiet. Very modern and functional apartment, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, big shower in a nice bathroom. Kitchen area good for limited cooking. Excellent garage space to store bikes.
Negative: A microwave would enhance the kitchen facilities.

Positive: Great location, a short walk to the old town centre with plenty of restaurants, but still nice and quiet. Room to securely leave our bikes. In fact, one of the best aspects was that we could park our car for the weekend in a nearby carpark and travel around on foot and by bike. We even cycled to beach that's only about 10km away. Loved Alkmaar and would happily stay again at Studio Schipper.
Summary: Great location near to Alkmaar centre, but still quiet.
