Villa Mimi's location is unbeatable. It is right on Beau Vallon Bay beach, Mahe's longest and most beautiful.The space is extremely serene and relaxing, it is beautifully designed and easy to be a home in. The main entertaining space is very large and leads out onto a grand terrace for open air dinning with room to seat at least 12. There is a lovely plunge pool to cool down in and a deck to soak up the the rays on. The swinging sofa on the verandah is the perfect place to watch the sun go down. The sitting room is open plan to the fabulous fully equiped kitchen. It has an integrated music system and the home cinema makes it a fabulous room to chill out in. There are 4 bedrooms all fully air conditioned with very comfortable beds. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, a tea/coffee mini kitchen and integrated speakers into which you can plug a tablet. The room has a kingsize bed and stunning sea views. Bedroom two also has a kingsize bed, integrated speakers and stunning sea views. Bedroom three has the same wonderful views and a double bed. All these rooms lead onto a large terrace. Bedroom 4 has a double bed and a pull down single bunk, a balcony and beautiful mountain views.
We want our guest to feel truly at home and have lots of fun. We are able to provide a chef if required. The villa rental includes daily housekeeping (except Sundays).
The neighbour hood is idyllic, there is a village atmostphere and you can get everything you need here. Villa Mimi is superbly need only walk down the beach to get to some lovely restaurants, shops, watersports and diving facilities.

Summary: The perfect getaway. Beautiful house. Incredible location. Comfortable beds. Smooth, hassle free transfers and an excellent housekeeper. Thoroughly recommended, particularly if you have adult children who need more than their parents to keep them amused. The beach is just lively enough and it's walking distance to great bars and restaurants.

Summary: Overall we had a very nice stay. Villa Mimi has an enviable location as the beautiful Beau Vallon beach is literally at the bottom of the garden. The sunsets from the beach are just spectacular, the sand is clean and soft and the ocean temperature is like a warm bath. Numerous restaurants, supermarkets and other stores are within easy walking distance. All of the staff including Verlaine and the 24/7 Security guards were very friendly and helped us with our every needs. The swimming pool is very clean and perfect to take the edge off those hot sunny days. There is a very comfortable large deck next to the private pool with an ocean view. Having early morning tea outside to the calming sound of the ocean and the birds singing was simply magical. Our only criticism is that the house wasn’t as clean as we would have liked when we arrived. The microwave had not been cleaned, and there were other areas that could use a good dusting. Finally, there were items not provided that we are used to, having stayed at numerous VRBO properties in the past. For example, there was no shampoo in the showers and the kitchen had no paper towels or other basics that we have come to expect. The villa is a little worn and could do with a bit of a facelift, nothing major, just some painting, upgraded appliances and minor repairs. Despite these minor improvements we really enjoyed our stay. Mahé is a beautiful piece of paradise and we will always have fond memories of our stay in Villa Mimi.

Summary: Villa Mimi is just what we ordered! The villa is amazing and probably the best villa on Beau Vallon Beach. The location is superb and we thoroughly enjoyed our morning walk or run along the beach. Everything in the villa is as described when we booked. We received a warm welcome by Verllen and she was very helpful during our stay. We also highly recommend a snorkelling boat trip with Gams Charters - we saw stingrays, starfish, squid and 2 turtles....oh and lots of fish too! Thank you to Sarah and family for sharing your beautiful home and for making us feel very welcome.

Summary: A very nice, bright house for an almost perfect holiday! Just a few meters from the beach you can hear the sound of the sea. It is recommended to rent a car in order to move well on the island. Along the beach you can reach hotels and restaurants within a few minutes on foot. On weekends it can get a little noisy at night when the local people park their cars next door close to the beach and play their music at full volume. But this is part of life on the island. Summary: Could not have been happier. The villa is located perfectly between restaurants, bars, and supermarkets. The local setting itself if absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. There is onsite security and we felt at home from the moment we walked in where we were greeted by Verlaine, Pamela, and Simon. Simon actually ran down the beach and brought back freshly caught tuna and cleaned them and cut them up for us to grill. Nothing better than the island breezes and the sound of the crashing waves that came right in through big open doorways. Stunning beachfront gem doesn't even begin to describe this place. I have stayed in VRBO homes all over the world and this one is certainly at the top of the list of places to return to.

Summary: We were a group of 7 friends. The property is right on the beach (separated by a fence), it is quiet at night. The whole first floor of the villa is occupied by a huge living room with an open kitchen. It opens to a wide terrace with a big table and seating area. Small but usable pool in front of the terrace. One toilet on the ground floor. Four bedrooms are on the first floor (two double, one single, one twin), with two toilets (one en suite to the master bedrooms). Three bedrooms share a terrace that that has views of the beach and sea (partially obscured by trees, but very nice). Parking for two (small) cars in front of the door. Check-in, check-out was no problem. Supermarkets and lots of (rather expensive) restaurants are walking distance. Very nice reef for snorkeling some 500m along the beach (north from the property, look for small boats on permanent moorings some 100m from the beach, they are moored where the reef starts). We have seen turtles, sharks, rays, etc on this reef, along with many live corals. Recommended. Would stay again.

Summary: Our party of 9 were very happy and comfortable at Villa Mimi. Verlaine was a wonderful host and very hard worker in keeping the place spotless. The sound system (which was great) was not able to be integrated with the home theatre system due to a missing wire which was a little disappointing but it didn't hamper our stay. I would suggest a blender of some sort for the kitchen but other than that it is very well equipped. The location is ideal and the house is very comfortably laid out.
