CAPE SAN BLAS AREA INFO:
One of the nicest things about Cape San Blas is that it is secluded. Even during the busy season, you will have your own spot on the beach rather than the rows and rows of umbrellas and chairs at other beaches. However, fewer people also means that there are fewer restaurants and attractions—the attraction is the beach and the ability to get away from it all. There are some local stores and small restaurants on the Cape, and Port St. Joe is only 20 minutes away and has a greater selection of restaurants and a larger grocery store.
Some area activities to consider:
-Relax on the beach - the sound of those waves is amazing!
-Swim and play in the ocean
-Dolphin watching (seen often from our deck!)
-Kayak, in gulf or bay (available from rental companies)
-Paddle board (available from rental companies)
-Private heated swimming pool
-Fishing
-Beach bonfire (and s’mores of course)
-Star gazing - you’ve probably never seen so many stars if you live in the city!
-T.H. Stone State Park: Miles of uninhabited beach, hiking/biking/fishing/bird watching
-Rent a pontoon boat in the Bay for fishing, snorkeling, dolphin watching, or boat to the northern tip of Cape San Blas
-Snorkeling in the Bay: look for sea turtles, puffer fish, manta rays, sea urchins, conch shells, sand dollars, horseshoe crabs
-Horseback riding on the beach
-Take a walk along the shore
-Sea shelling
-Frisbee, kites
-Bocce ball, beach volleyball, badminton
-Sandcastles
-Yard games
-Salinas Park Trail
-Pickleball at Salinas Park
-Bird watching (including Bald Eagles)
-Enjoy the gorgeous sunrise and sunset views
-Sit on the covered decks and enjoy the ocean view and breeze
-Crab watching at night
-8 mile Logger Head Walk/Run/Bike Path. This trail runs from the beginning of Cape San Blas Road to the State Park at the end of the Peninsula. Located just across Cape San Blas Rd, steps from our house.
-Enjoy meals, movies, card and board games, and making memories with family and friends
Our guests will receive a link to our digital guidebook, which has information about the house and the area, including suggestions for local activities, restaurants, and more!

THINGS TO KNOW:
Pillows, sheets, blankets, and towels are provided.
We have Smart TVs throughout the home, including each bedroom (BYO passwords for streaming apps such as Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc). We do not have cable/satellite.
We provide a starter supply of toilet paper, trash liners, as well as some toiletries. Additional supplies beyond this are the responsibility of the guest.
We also supply beach/pool towels, beach chairs, and tons of beach gear for your stay! We supply a beach umbrella, but if you prefer a large beach tent, we have partnered with a local gear rental company who will deliver it to the house for you (and offer a discount code for our guests). We recommend bringing sunscreen and water shoes.
Please note that the coastline is an everchanging structure due to waves, weather, and wind. Sometimes there are stumps at the shoreline and other times they are covered by sand. Since you have access to the beach by staying here, you can lounge or swim anywhere along the beach.
The WiFi is fast (download speeds up to 600 Mbps) but Cape is a remote area and WiFi could be intermittent at times. Some cell phone carriers may have patchy coverage here. Also due to the remote location of the Cape, water pressure can be lower at times. However, we have a water pressure booster pump, which is a major advantage over homes without this amenity.
Check-in. Early check-ins are usually not feasible, as the cleaning team needs this time to prepare the home. However, we will definitely reach out to you if the house is ready early! You will receive a personal access door code on the day of your arrival, which will be valid for your rental dates.
Checkout time: 10 AM ET. Our cleaner needs time to prepare the home for the next guest, so we appreciate your consideration of checkout time.
NO SMOKING OR VAPING. You will incur an additional charge if any evidence of smoking is found in the house.
NO LARGE PARTIES. Max of 12 guests on the property at all times.
Pets. We allow guests to bring one dog. There is a $100 pet fee per stay. Dog must be house trained, without accidents. We request guests rinse sand off their pet before returning inside. We also request that the pet is housed in a crate if the guests will be leaving the pet at home alone, as they can get nervous or confused in a new place. If there is excess pet hair or any damage, this would result in additional charges.
All guests must be 25 years of age or older unless they are accompanied by their parents for the duration of the stay.
For security, the home is equipped with outdoor video surveillance.
The cancellation policy, as described by VRBO, is in effect upon booking and does not allow refunds or changes to the reservation due to weather. However, if there is an official mandatory evacuation ordered for Cape San Blas, we will refund the reservation for any affected nights. We recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance which offers coverage for cancellation due to illness, weather, or other events that could impact your trip. Travel insurance can be purchased online for reasonable cost, or may be offered by your credit card company.
All guests are required to sign a Rental Agreement.

Summary: Our family had the most incredible week at this gulf-front, three-story beach house in Cape San Blas. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to make our stay relaxing, fun, and comfortable—we’re already planning our return! We had the most amazing week at this beach house! The views are stunning—we watched dolphins from the balcony almost every morning. The elevator made it easy for my mom to get around, and our Frenchie loved watching the beach action. The pool, outdoor shower, beach gear, and decks made everything so easy and enjoyable. The host was incredibly helpful and responsive, which made the whole experience even better. We’re already dreaming about coming back!

Summary: The home was beautiful and super clean. Furnishings were comfortable, which is important at our age. But the most spectacular memory, was the most beautiful sunsets I've ever witnessed. Summary: My girlfriend and I had to make pretty last min plans for our original trip to Captiva Island that was impacted by Milton. We wanted to go somewhere new within the US (her passport expired) for a 7 day trip with the only conditions being it had to be beach front. We landed on Cape San Blas after a Google search of favorable weather and beaches and the. Maria’s place on Vrbo. Maria’s home is incredible, it was just two of us staying so I t felt like we had a whole beautiful beach front compound all to ourselves. The house was modern, comfortable, clean, and welcoming. It did not rain once and we got to see some amazing sunsets and 10/10 beach weather, The beach felt very private, we would go all day without seeing anyone in either direction. We rented a beach cart, kayaks, bikes, and bought a cooler and had some great days just hanging on the beach and in the water. I am an avid fisherman and flew down a number of rods and reels. On the beach I caught a ton of fish, whiting, catfish, lady fish, bluefish, Spanish machkerel, and pompano. I fished a few nights and caught sand bar sharks up to 6’ and 2 bull redfish around 30lbs. Pretty awesome fishing if you put your time in and get over the 2nd sand bar! I would love to come back to cape San blas sometime in the future, would highly reccoene Maria and her home for your next trip to this amazing part of America!

Summary: Wonderful well appointed home located right on the beach. Maria our host stayed in contact making sure all our needs were met. Perfect sized private pool to take an afternoon dip after a long lounging day at the beach. You literally have the whole beach to yourself. Late in the evening we enjoyed a bonfire at on the beach. Maria treated us to a dinner at The Smokehouse BBQ which was also very good. Our family from Arizona enjoyed this gem of a home on the Cape. We can't wait to return. Highly recommend!!!.

Summary: Our family booked this home for Thanksgiving. We were provided a meal for 10 - 12 at no cost to us from a local restaurant. The house had everything listed plus a lot more. The fully stocked kitchen (including crock pots, mixers, blender, coffee/tea corner, plenty of pots, pans, baking sheets, serving bowls, platters plus…) the cozy blankets in bedrooms and on the couch, the short walk on the boardwalk to the beach, beachfront views, chairs, sand toys, plus the heated pool at no extra cost, the elevator was amazing, our family had a dream vacation. There are so many amenities to this home that I can’t list them all. Maria was hands down the best hostess we could have asked for. The area is quaint and the stores are owned by locals. If you are looking for peace, serenity, family time, joy, plenty of room in this gorgeous, cozy, home with oceanfront, this is it. We WILL be back. Thank you, Maria.
