The castle is nested within 120 hectares (300 acres) of private land, boasting magnificient views of the typical Chianti hills, dotted with vineyards and olive groves. It has been recently extensively renovated by the owners, keeping the original charm and architectural features combined with all modern comforts a discerning client would expect as well as a state-of-the art wedding and event indoor space making it one of the few properties able to host events up to 130 people without the need to hire a marquee.
About the property.
The property has been in the family of the current owners for more than 300 years. It comprises of the castle building (hosting 2 main suites, kitchen, art decor dining room and formal living room) and a neighboring farmhouse (located right next to the castle), with a total of 9 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. Most of the interiors have been extensively recently renovated, including a whole new kitchen, new bathrooms and new upholstery.
The castle is surrounded by 2 hectares (5 acres) of vineyards, and 11 hectares (28 acres) of olive groves and overlooks the Chianti hills. The garden surrounds the property and boasts a beautiful pool with terrace for sunbathing that overlooks the vineyards, magnificent pergola shaded areas perfect for relaxing during the hot summer days, a large lawn with limonaia perfect for summer banquets and a courtyard with an ancient old wood burning oven. All of these features provide a unique blend of indoor and outdoor living perfect for family reunions, groups of friends traveling together, anniversaries and weddings.

Location.
The estate is located walking distance from the charming town of Impruneta, just a hop from downtown Florence, it offers a calm contrast to its intense neighboring city but it is also packed with Etruscan and Roman history, local festivals and a longstanding craft tradition. Impruneta is more a clustering of villages than a single town, it has the spirit of the much-deeper Tuscan countryside but with enough attractions and local life to keep you busy and ignite your curiosity.
The magnificent main square within easy walking reach, Piazza Buondelmonti, with its Rennaissance perfection, is the focal point of the village. Several excellent restaurants, cafes, local markets as well as many typical grocery stores and craft shops can be found here. All services are provided as well: banks with ATM, a post office and pharmacy.
One of the great assets of the castle's location is its ability to get into the city of Florence in less than 20 minutes whilst also having a chance to experience Tuscan countryside and being conveninetly located at the gate of Chianti region and its renowed vineyards.
The Florence Airport is about 15 miles away (25 Km). Siena is 40 miles (65 Km), and approximately 50 minute drive. Walking distance (1 Km - 0.5 miles) from the property there is a bus stop with connections to Florence and other nearby towns such as Greve, Panzano, Radda in Chianti etc.

The property is nestled on a hill and comprises the main building that hosts the castle tower and the neighboring farmhouse both surrounded by a paved courtyard and terrace as well as gardens. There are a total of 9 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, several spacious living spaces and two kitchens. The property can host comfortably up to 19 guests.

The Pool Area.
The villa's magnificent private pool which overlooks the vineyards features a set of comfortable sun loungers and umbrellas. Being exposed to the sun all day, the pool water reaches ideally warm temperatures (25 ° C - 77 ° F). The pool is 14 meters long x 7 meters wide (46 x 23 Feet).
Conditions for weddings
Weekday weddings (from Monday to Thursday) require a minimun of 2 night stay
Weekend weddings (from Friday to Sunday) require a minimun of 3 night stay
The property can host 21 + 4 resident guests but has illimitaded outdoors space and has a state-of-the art event room with a capacity for up to 130 people in buffet style seating.
There are several B&B, hotels and villas that Event Manager will be able to suggest for other guests of the bridal party.
A "City Tax" of € 1.50 per person per night, applicable for a maximum of 7 nights, is to be paid upon arrival as per the city of Impruneta from March to October.
A wedding / event fee, for the permission to hold the wedding at the property with would apply extra (the amount varies according to the final number of guests). The maximum number of guests allowed for any event on the property is normally 160-180 people.
