What Our Guests say 500 + Reviews

Summary: The best things about this property are the view and the wonderful deck that overlooks the Sound and Mt. Rainier. It feels very private, with plenty of parking and ample beds for our 8, 70+ women group. We were a little disappointed in what supplies were provided and the downstairs bathroom has a septic issue, so there is no poo for you downstairs. But these are small problems. With a little more attention to detail by the property manager this place would be near perfection.

Summary: The house is okay; the location is wonderful. If you walk out the lower floor, and climb over some driftwood logs, you will be on the beach. We saw Orcas (rare for south Sound), porpoise, seals, osprey, bald eagle. The deck is huge with a table large enough for everyone. We had 10 people, 3 generations. This was our 3rd stay in this house and we've booked for next year. The house is worn around the edges. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. The rest of the beds, including a room of bunkbeds, are downstairs along with one bathroom. There was a sign this year not to "poo" in the lower bathroom. Challenging with the majority of people, including all of the kids, downstairs, but we managed. If you're looking for luxury, this is not the house for you. If you are looking for a house for many people right on the beach, this is a fabulous place.

Summary: The deck and the view were fabulous! The kitchen was a challenge. Nice dishes glasses knives and silverware. NOTHING for storing leftovers, very few dishwasher pods, NO POTHOLDERS, lack of enough paper towels, Also, instructions for recycling but no recycling bin outside (?!) We loved the location and the lovely island.

Summary: You can make this stay amazing if you are prepared with some information. Bring everything you need for the kitchen. We ended up buying a lot of items for the home that were missing: dishwashing detergent, can opener, foil, saran wrap, wine opener, working scissors, lighter, firewood, a sharp knife. They have pots and pans and plates, but just bring the other things you require. The cabinets are packed full with appliances that are broken or on their last use. I was expecting the owner might send me some information about what would be at the house (like a what type of coffee pot? should we bring fire wood? etc but I never received any information.) For those wondering there is a regular coffee pot and a keurig machine. There were a lot of outlets and lights that did not work. We could not locate a way to turn them on. The house is hard to regulate temperature-wise. Downstairs was extremely chilly and we needed to run space heaters around the clock to take the edge off. Please note: one bedroom downstairs does not have doors (just curtains). The downstairs kitchen is basically empty of anything so be prepared to bring everything you need if you want to use that kitchen. The broken items and unworking lights became a bit of a comedy of errors for us. We really enjoyed our stay, we take our good time with us. The location is really special. We saw dolphins right outside our deck at least 3 times. It's a wonderful property. I just don't think it's geared towards guest stays. Note to the owners: the oven is covered in black residue, it smokes when you turn on the oven, (it needs to be run through a clean cycle). The telescope is broken-better to dispose of it than leave it broken and disappoint guest after guest. The downstairs closet was full of someone's clothes and full of cobwebs too. There is loud dripping in the walls (plumbing issue) that you should check into. Netflix was advertised but we did not see it as an option.
