1 Bedroom Cottage in Somerset Village
Sugar Cane Cottage is located on the eastern end of Sugar Cane Beach looking out across Mangrove Bay towards the west. It is the sister cottage to Sunset Studio (www.vrbo.com/4623361ha), which is located at the other end of the beach. It is 10 minutes from Dockyard and 15 minutes from the main beaches.
It is a single room studio unit with a loft space for sleeping, modelled on the tiny house concept. There is a king sized bed in the loft area, together with small built in closets either side of the bed. The living area comprises a corner sofa unit that can convert to 2 single beds. The kitchenette is a very compact โgalleyโ style kitchen that has a full stove, fridge/freezer, toaster & electric kettle. Flat screen TV in lounge and loft area with fire tv and firestick, internet access, air-conditioning throughout. The bathroom has a large shower.
The unit has direct access to our beach. The front patio overlooks Mangrove Bay on the Western side of the unit. On the Northern and Eastern sides are a larger patio area with a built in seating area and comfortable deck furniture & bar-b-que area.
The exterior of the unit is designed to resemble the wooden cottages built in Somerset in the late 19th โ early 20th Centuries, by West Indian workers who were brought to the Island to work at Dockyard.
