Bach with 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, (Sleeps 6 max)
Comfortable and spacious bach on a large section with expansive views of Doubtless Bay, 4 off street parking - fully fenced section.
We have 2 bedrooms - master (queen bed), 2nd bedroom has bunk beds and the sitting room has a fold out sofa bed (double).
With easy access to Whatuwhiwhi Beach (850m away) and Tokerau beach (1.3km down the road) makes this bach perfect for any beach day! The Karikari Peninsula is a unique region of Northland that wants you coming back for more! Whether it's fishing, surf casting, kayaking, paddling boarding, water skiing, surfing, golf or wine tastings.
Also central to Matai Bay, Rangiputa (White sands), Karikari Beach, Puheke Beach and Puheke Hill lookout which has expansive views of the Peninsula.
Carrington Estate Resort is a 5-star resort that includes a restaurant & bar that overlooks the golf course (designed by American golf course designer Matt Dye). The Estate is also home to the enchanting Karikari Estate Vineyard, Cellar door and Cafe less than 2km from the bach on Matai Bay Rd.
Enquire within for kayak hire (we have 2) - $25 per item (hire as a pair) which includes lifejackets/dry bags usage. Please bring your own tie downs.
Cape Reinga and Te Paki sand dunes are around 90 mins away.
Mangonui, is 25 mins away that includes the best fish & chip shop in NZ - Mangonui Fish Shop; The Village Creamery amongst other excellent eateries and shopping with Saturday Markets.
Nearest supermarkets Pak' n Save Kaitaia (35mins), Coopers Beach 4square (20mins) or Mangonui 4square.
There is unlimited fibre internet at the bach.
Beds have mattress protectors, pillows and duvet inners but linen is not provided - please come with sheets (Queen, double and 2 single beds), pillowcases and towels. Alternatively linen can be provided for $15 per person. Please request this while booking.

Summary: Cosy little bach, everything looked just like the photos. Great place to get away from the hustle & bustle of the city, and even better that we could bring our dogs. The view is amazing, especially at sunset. Just remember to bring insect repellent :) Would love to stay again if we were in the area.

Summary: We had a great week’s holiday. The bach is very comfortable and clean, with everything you need. The view is epic and we loved being able to use the kayaks. Owners were friendly and check in a piece of cake, as well as easy communication. We will be back.

Summary: Excellent base for us to stay once again to attend our Uncles funeral. We stayed also in January for Auntys funeral and on all occassions the stay was excellent .Ideal location and close to the whanau.

Summary: Wonderful spot for a far North Adventure. Great location with several stunning beaches nearby. The home was bigger than we expected, we took our family of 4 & the kids each had a friend. Rauiri was super responsive and helpful in messages. The hosts have made staying so simple, kids loved all the different board games. Sound house, we left early this morning to avoid the cyclone but certainly felt safe enough. Thanks guys, Would love to visit again when summer decides to stick around!

Summary: Excellent Host and accomadation in Whatwhiwhi. My wife and I,my two adult sons stayed for two nights whilst attending a Tangi in Kaneponia. The holiday home was spotless and well suited for our family. The facilities that are available from our host where well appreciated especially the heat pump which cooled us down in the summer heat (over 28 degrees celius). Close to the sea,the views are outstanding and the sunsets were unbeliveable. I could rate this accomadation alot higher than the 5 stars. Thank you Ruari
