Welcome to our lovingly restored, rustic and relaxing Caribbean beach house. At home in New Zealand, we call this a 'bach' (pronounced 'batch'). Located on the South East Side of Cayman Brac, this unique home will provide the sanctuary you need after a day of diving, snorkelling, walking or exploring ... or will simply be a relaxing place to unwind with a good book and a cocktail.
This property is a TRUE beach house - open living, a large outdoor deck with swimming pool; your choice of sun or shade, a landscaped beachfront, & separate areas that deliver privacy, as well as lots of good collective space. And whilst we don't have immediate water access - like almost all of the Brac, our quiet part of this special island is on a reef and therefore has an iron shore - the public beach is only a 10 min. drive away (and usually empty), and the local "Buccaneers" rock pool for safe & easy swimming & snorkelling is only 15 mins. away ... well worth the effort.
Cayman Brac is stunning, in a laid-back way, and our home, with it's open plan living, simple yet modern furniture and clean lines, will welcome travellers from far and wide to it's unique beauty.
Please note - the home sleeps a maximum of 6 adults and 2 children. Exceptions will be made, but need to be discussed with owner prior to booking.

Summary: Melissa’s home was beyond amazing! And six adults, and one child were comfortably accommodated for 4 nights 5 days!! This home could easily sleep 10 people comfortably!!! This is my first stay in Cayman Brac using a Vrbo as my family home was on the island but hasn’t sold. That said, I felt very at home and everything was very easy from start to finish!!!! TY Melissa and family! Special thanks to Liesel for being there for us every step of the way!!!

Summary: This is a wonderful place to stay if you desire to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Sitting on the deck staring at the ocean will calm any soul. The property owner and property manager are both terrific and very attentive. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely contact them in future!

Summary: We wanted to stay somewhere away from the crowds and this was great.... ocean-front location, loved the deck & pool. Not luxury but clean, well-supplied kitchen, plenty of beach towels, etc. Property mgr, Liesel, is great - as is diving with Brac SCUBA Shack!

Summary: Location Location Location! It was one of our most relaxed vacation, really quite place and an amazing place to get out of the hustle and bustle of our city life. Locals are amazing and helpful.

Summary: Spent 10 day at "The Bach" . What a place. It felt like home the minute we walked in. What a view and the sound of the waves and ocean breeze relaxed us all right away. Communication with Melissa was perfect from the start. Once we arrived me were greeted at the airport and escorted to the property. It is maybe 15 minutes from the airport. The kids picked their rooms and after a trip to the market we were good to go. The kitchen has everything and then some. All the basics were there which is nice. Of course the wifi is always a thing and we never had any trouble with it. It works better in some places than others. Mobile phone reception did not work we wifi called instead. It get's hot in the late afternoon in the Summer even with the breeze and the pool saved us. After a quick dip you are good to go. Did we see a bug or two? OK sure so what? We are the invaders not them. We plan to return soon and I am 100% confident giving this property the highest reviews. It was perfect for us. It was everything we hoped for. Wow. Thank you Melissa for sharing your home with us!

Summary: Wonderful few days enjoying the island. The Bach was perfect for our kids. Fire pit to roast marshmallows, rock pools to explore and a pool to play in. Also enjoyed bike rides to the Great Cave. We’ll be back!
