Summary: First of all, dont use hotels.com for this trip bc you will have to pay more than what you reserved for :))))<3 I saw a comment saying that the receptionists only know how to get money and that is absolutely correct. Checkin process was awful. Receptionist were not professional. Nobody explains anything about the hotel, about the locations, eating times and the activities. You are on your own. And the guy who was supposed to take us to our rooms along with the other guests MISSED our room (which we reminded him lol) so we had to walk back and try to find our room by ourselves… (trust me its not easy to find the room bc the number of rooms are not in order) If its your first time in Maldives, you might think this hotel is amazing but We had been to the maldives couple times before and compared to the other hotels, this hotel was missing a lot. Other than these, The room cleaning staff was so nice and the staff in the restaurant were also so nice. The sea and the beach is great but its not easy to see the sharks. Pool is great but there are only 7-8 sunbeds so you better wake up early to reserve your seat hahaha Its a good hotel overall. Except for the communication issues with the reception on the first day, all was great.

Summary: Overall we had a great time. The only issue we faced was with Reception / Front Desk that was an absolute disaster. The only thing they could do is to book you for the free daily snorkelling trip or to charge your credit card. They were not able (or even worse, did not want to!) handle other questions/queries. Our check-in was extremely slow considering that they had to do the check-in only for 2 rooms. As for the mandatory Christmas Gala Dinner (140 USD/person), we were shocked to realise that not even a glass of wine or beer was included in this hefty price. The bill for the Christmas Gala Dinner had to be settled ahead of Christmas Eve, which is a complete lack of trust toward their ‘Valued Guests’ (as they call them). It was also unclear for us how it was possible that for guests on all board types (including bed & breakfast) the sum of the Gala Dinner was exactly the same. This meant that guests on half board or full board had to pay twice for their dinner on 24 December. When I raised this point with Front Desk they did not even understand the point I was making. Very poor indeed!

Summary: We stayed in Water villa. Water villa is good. Overall We are satisfied. To say about restaurant, there is a two restaurant, Samuga and Hiya, in this island. We went to Samuga once, the meal is not that delicious.Therefore we went to Hiya every time. Please note that only who stayed in Water villa can use Hiya without extra charge.
