Summary: We were there for an App State campus tour. It was only 15 minutes from campus but it is a nice quiet rural place.We also went hiking and there are many places to choose from that are all about 50 minutes or less drive.

Summary: The property seemed very clean. There were neighbors, but not close by. We had a delightful time in the snow and enjoyed the location. The only thing that we had a problem with was getting around when the snow hit. Even our AWD SUV could not get up Wildcat road to even turn in to North Star where the property was located. A nice couple driving by helped us get back to the warmth. The Heater is very good, but also very loud. For a few moments we thought a horn was blasting, then found all of the heat registers were closed. Opening them dropped the decibel level.

Summary: Always nice and clean, have stayed here before. Was concerned that it may be a bit cold as the forecast called for below freezing temps the weekend we were to be there. Was definitely not cold in the residence. Quite warm, very nice. However, the sound of the heating system when engaged is noisy. To be expected in a small unit as this. Overall, very pleased. Will stay again.

Summary: Very clean, and so much more to offer than a hotel. Close enough to Boone but far enough away that you know it. My only negative is the window A/C unit, it is noisy. But overall, I would stay here again for sure.
