Summary: What a beautiful setting. Loved the remote location, sitting on the porch looking at a star filled sky and hearing the chickens in the morning was amazing. The inside was well furnished and clean. The beds were comfortable. The only negative was no signage directing us to the cabin. Due to our flight schedule we did not get to the cabin until about midnight. It was hard to tell if we were on the right road as it is just an old gravel road about a half mile or more off of the main road. A sign or two would help people know they are in the right spot. The only other thing is I attempted to contact the representative by email and by phone and never received a response.

Summary: We booked a week for our spring break trip and wanted to be central to Shenandoah National Park, Colonial Williamsburg and Washington DC. This spot was perfect! The cabin was adorable, comfortable, clean and great for our getaway. The beds were great, lots of space and really everything we needed. My only negatives are minimal, there are a couple rundown/abandoned buildings on the property, close to the house that weren’t included in the listing photos. They are quite an eyesore and I actually thought we had the wrong place at first because of them. There is also a lovely little pond and fire pit that wasn’t mentioned in photos or the listing so we didn’t bring any thing to have a fire. The porch doesn’t have any real outdoor furniture to sit and enjoy the porch or have a meal outside. There is some random outdoor furniture piled up beside what appears to be a long forgotten garden (another eyesore) and near the pond. Overall we loved our stay and would book here again!

Summary: Husband and sons loved it. Almost a mile off the road. Beds are extremely firm, uncomfortable for some. Very quiet. Kitchen was well-equipped and user friendly. Could use larger trash receptacle outside— there were 5 of us and we did a fair amount of cooking. Hot water heater couldn’t keep up with us, especially when we were getting ready for a wedding. We would stay again—the guys hated to leave.

Summary: After driving the 3/4 mile driveway, (after dark!) we were treated with the welcoming interior of the home. My outdoorsman husband immediately fell in love with the rustic decor. The bedrooms were larger than they appear in the pictures. Lots of windows to view the great outdoors. Of note: the beds are high--with my short 5'2" stature, I did think it was a challenge to every night to climb in. Otherwise, our stay was enjoyable. Kitchen was well stocked with paper towels and other essentials. We would definitely consider staying again.

Summary: We loved it. Traveling to Richmond for a nieces birthday I just didn’t want to stay in a big box hotel. This was perfect. Quiet, clean and so nice. Drive back in the woods on a dirt, gravel road was a bit scary but not a problem. Wonderfully appointed. Everything you need. We’d stay again!
