Saltmarsh Ledge is a 12 acre estate with water access.It's beautiful 3 bedroom home sits on a meadow on the edge of the woods, overlooking gorgeous saltmarshes and Long Island Sound. Saltmarsh Ledgefeels like a secluded hideaway but is just minutes away from Stonington Village, one of Connecticut’s most charming towns. Our family property also includes access to Walker's Dock, a lovely marina where you can launch your own boat, take out our kayak or arrange a fishing charter. The property includes privatewoodland and meadowpaths with beautiful views.
The downstairs is a light-filled open floor plan with a living room fireplace. The large kitchen has a center island and is fully equipped for gourmet cooking and leads into a dining room that offers stunning nature views with Watch Hill in the distance. The house includes two workspaces (a study/TV room) and a desk area. Enjoy a huge master suite with beautiful wildlife views. The upstairs offers a spacious bathroom with two bedrooms, one with a Queen bed and the other with two twin beds. Both bedrooms have amazing views with skylights for stargazing. SaltmarshLedge offers cozy nooks, spacious outdoor areas, and everything you need for a wonderful family vacation (including a laundry room!). The property includes the use of 2 bikes, 3 kayaks (one double and 2 singles), and 2 paddleboards plus a ton of toys, games, and puzzles.
Full disclosure, there is a train that passes a short distance away, beyond the meadow and the marsh, and you will hear the whistles. Some people (kids especially!) love this. Some might find it bothersome.
The property is a short walk from, Walkers Dock, a small marina owned by our family. During the spring and summer you can make special arrangements to charter a fishing trip or even bring your own boat. There are ten acres of land, including woods, meadow and saltmarsh, a dog walkers and bird watchers paradise.
The host will be available by phone and text. There is also a caretaker who lives nearby who can help should any issues arise.
In addition to nearby DuBoise Beach on Stonington Point, Saltmarsh Ledgeis about 20 minutes drive to Watch Hill and Westerly Rhode Island beaches and close to numerous other attractions, including Barn Island, Saltwater Farm Vineyard, and the Velvet Mill, an eclectic repurposed factory filled with artist studios, shops, wellness practitioners and maker space.
We have parking for 3 or more cars, Saltmarsh Ledge is just on the edge of Stonington Village, which is easy to access by foot and bike along with driving. It's about 15 minutes away by car from shopping and restaurants in both Mystic Connecticut and Westerly Rhode Island. It's only about 10 minutes from I-95.

Summary: We’ve always loved stonington and this home was a great home base for us while in town for a wedding at Lake of Isles. The views are absolutely stunning and we actually loved seeing the Amtrak trains pass by throughout the day. An easy walk to the velvet mill and a little longer to downtown stonington, it was great to explore the area on foot.We were all so comfortable in this home, we didn’t want to leave!Natalie and her team do a great job! We had two minor issues that they resolved quickly. What a great place!!!

Summary: Friends and I stayed at Natalie’s gorgeous house in Stonington for girls weekend away..the home is large enough to spread out but so beautifully decorated and cozy at the same time.The kitchen has any amenity you need, and the sunrise over the river is spectacular! Natalie was a super host and the property is close to Mystic and Watch Hill…thank you!

Summary: The house exceeded our expectations. It was perfectly located for our daughter's wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard and provided us with the space to have our dad with us. Highly recommend. It was an amazing weekend.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at The Sunny Stonington Home. The pictures do not do this home justice. The location was perfect for Mystic, New London, and Narraganset, Rhode Island. Summary: Our family of 5 adults enjoyed a rainy January weekend poking around the Mystic/Stonington area with this lovely house as our headquarters. The location is convenient to so much, yet the house and property provide a truly private and natural scenic experience. I can only imagine how wonderful it must be in the other seasons as well. Summary: Our local family members had to work extended hours over the Christmas break so our geographically diverse family decided we would spend the holiday nearby in Stonington. This beautiful home was the perfect location for my wife and I with our adult children to spend Christmas. The well appointed kitchen was perfect for preparing the big meal. Our host, Natalie, has done a great job providing all of the necessary cooking accessories. Her attention to detail was evident throughout the property. Definitely would like to stay here again!
