The Sunnyside cottage is a 800sqft. custom built guesthouse on our 1/2 acre property. It was designed to take in the ocean views and sunrise! Only steps away from ocean walkway and forest walks. Mt. Washington Ski Resort is 30 mins away and Cumberland mountain bike trails are under 10 minutes away. All necessary amenities are a couple minutes drive or a 10 minute walk. Downtown area can be reached by 4km bike path or 5 minute drive.

Summary: Beautiful and well appointed small home very close to Courtney and Cumberland. We stayed here with our two teens and were very comfortable. Seaside and forest walking trails nearby. We highly recommend this place and will stay again next time we are in the area.

Summary: A very thoughtfully designed & appointed home, Sunnyside House has a lovely view of the ocean. Our host Melissa was kind, thoughtful & quick to respond. A great place to call home base when in the Cortenay/Comox/Cumberland area. We hope to return some day.

Summary: We had a wonderful 12 night stay at the Sunnyside house. The place is sun-filled, beautifully designed and decorated, and equipped with everything we needed. The hosts were both super helpful and accommodating (even added a grab bar in the shower to help with our mobility needs)! The location was perfect for exploring the ocean side trails and area, and we appreciated the great recommendations from Melissa. We loved hearing the resident chickens and seeing the soaring eagles and ocean tides. Thank you for everything, we look forward to coming back!

Summary: A nicely designed and comfortable small home! We found it conveniently close to Courtney but with an out of town feeling. Quick access to forest nature trails and a nice view towards the ocean.

Summary: Melissa and Peter have created a wonderful property for an enjoyable getaway. This was the fourth VRBO property that we have stayed at in order to visit our young grandchildren. This was by far the nicest we have occupied. The views of the water and the marina at Comox in the distance were very relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to be able stay there again.
