Positive: This property met and exceeded my expectations and I can't speak highly enough of this location. As soon as we got there I knew I would be leaving a 5 star review! The hosts did a great job of leaving instructions on how to get into the apartment and housekeeping rules in an extremely thorough Google Forms presentation. There were step by step instructions and a video on how to access the key for the building Everything was very self explanatory and the space was a wonderful break from the constant hotel stays. We loved having tons of space, a kitchen to cook and a terrace to sit out on and look out over the ocean. I also really really loved that there was a washing machine in the unit. It was a game changer being able to wash clothes midway through the trip and refresh my wardrobe. That's not something that you usually get a chance to do in a hotel. We also loved being across the street from a grocery store, which allowed us to make homemade meals instead of eating every single meal at a restaurant. The hosts were also responsive and helpful whenever I had any questions and genuinely seemed concerned about if we were enjoying our stay and if our needs were met. I would absolutely request to stay in this space again if I find myself back in Marseilles.
Negative: The door was a little funky to try and open at first and we all struggled initially trying to get in. Eventually we left it up to one person to be the designated door opener since she was the only one able to open the door. We also didn't like how there was only one key but that makes a lot of sense being that it was an apartment. There's no way to have too many copies of keys floating around. That's not safe or secure. So it was definitely understandable, but still a bit inconvenient since we all had to stay together/come and go at the same time. Also, maybe specify that the address is 19B Avenue Robert Schuman instead of 19A Avenue Robert Schuman. It's in the picture on the Google Forms presentation but I would still explicitly spell it out in the address as well.
Summary: Le Balcon du Panier was the BEST stay of the entire trip! Would definitely recommend to all!

Positive: Location is really great, walking distance to all attractions and at the same time the location is calm and it feels safe outside. Balcony is spacios and even has a bit of a sea view, the flat has a lot of natural light. There's a carrefour just in front of the building.
Negative: No soap to at least wash your hands after travelling, no shampoo and shower gel. Would have also been great to have some oil to cook.
