It also has enough privacy for a great family getaway or options for renting multiple cottages with a larger group. The front door is 350 feet away from the bluff and then only 40 steps down to a private beach!
Sunset Beach Cottages is a peaceful and private Lake Michigan setting with a breathtaking view of Lake Michigan and a pristine sandy beach. We are conveniently located in the Muskegon area, but tucked away in a private setting with miles of beachfront at the bottom of the bluff.
Our 6, 1-4 bedroom cottages are close enough together to be rented in groups for family reunions and other types of get togethers, yet far enough apart to provide for your own privacy. The setting is perfect for both family gatherings as well as your own private getaway vacation. There is plenty of space, both inside the cottages, and on the well maintained grass covered grounds. Our private beach has some of the finest beach sand in the world, plus the soothing sounds of waves lapping on the shoreline make for an enjoyable and relaxing time.

Summary: The cabin was great fully stocked with all cookware you will need! Make sure to bring towels, wash clothes, paper towels, toilet paper and sheets for the beds! The location of cabin #2 was great! A little further away from other cabins but for us it was perfect. The short walk to the beach was perfect for us and the kids enjoyed it! We will definitely be recommending it to others!

Summary: This property was perfect for the wife and I as we celebrated our 30th anniversary. This cabin was nestled in a beautiful section of woods where you could see the lake through the trees. When you wanted to go to the beach, a short walk on a paved drive through the walkways of the other cottages put you at a beautifully done stairway to a landing and then to the beach. The landing had a two seated bench where the wife and I enjoyed sitting as we watched the sunsets. The 10PM to 9AM quiet time stipulation was a welcomed blessing. Overall, this was a relaxing experience which brought my wife and I some much-needed rejuvenation. You were able to get the relaxing experience on the beach or in your cozy cabin in the woods.

Summary: Sunset Beach Cottages gives you front-row access to Lake Michigan with a private beach. The compound is composed of six units. Four of them are set close together up on the bluff above the beach. But, if you want a little more seclusion and your own private fire pit, then Cottage #2 is the one you want (the one where I stayed). This cabin is small but efficiently laid out. You have all the tools you need to prepare your own food. The local area has access to modern conveniences. I highly recommend the local Meijers store if you want one-stop shopping for gen merch, groceries, spirits, and camping gear. Walking up to the bluff (and then down stairs to the beach) is super easy and takes about 60 seconds. The listing mentions that it sleeps 4. I wouldn't recommend that for 4 full-grown adults unless you bring a blow-up mattress. In my opinion, the pull-out bed would only be sufficient for one full-grown adult. But, two little kids, probably no issues. Bottom line: we really enjoyed our stay. :-)
