The Ultimate Beach Bach house sleeps 16 and is approximately 60 steps from your garden gate to the seashore, and yet still central to some of the best destinations the Bay has to offer? Where you can spend your days indulging in your passion for fishing, surfing, long walks with the dog or just relaxing on the pristine sands of this beautiful coastline.
Well the dreaming is over with this clean and tidy two-bedroom plus studio Bach, with enough room for the family to stay this holiday house will not disappoint!
Split over two levels you'll enjoy listening to the waves crashing and estuary peeks from your elevated position. The upper level contains a bright living area, kitchen, one bedroom and bathroom, with private wrap around decks. Down stairs are a further bedroom, bathroom, laundry.
A large adjacent studio gives you plenty of space for family and friends, private decks, outdoor shower, fish filleting station, fire pit, Quad bike beach access through the rear gate of the property, plus a flat 799m2 tree lined section with ample room for the boat and, kids make this property complete.
Situated on the beach side at the Estuary end of Pukehina Parade, with estuary access mere metres away, everything is here to make those visions a reality.
Pukehina hosts two local shops for last-minute items, our local establishments: “The Store” for dairy, takeaways serving great fish & chips and a great selection of groceries or Monty's Licensed Cafe for great coffee and breakfast or a drink in the afternoon sun, live music some Friday and Saturday nights.
Pukehina is an untouched paradise, local activities comprise a tennis club, golf, surf club with red flags for swimming, surfing, paddle boarding, boating and fishing clubs.
Centrally located, we are just a 15 min drive to Te Puke (past the golf club), 30 mins to Mt Maunganui and Tauranga (via toll road), or 40 mins to Rotorua and Whakatane – all excellent roads. If you need to refuel the boat BP is just 5 mins away.
You will be met by our knowledgeable local agent. Check in time is 3pm and checkout time is 10am (unless by prior arrangement)
*Please use beach access which is located at the back of the section.. to access the beach - or the beach access if you have a quad bike.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in Pukehina. This bach is nicely located off of the beach access path. The beach was wonderful, with great waves for body surfing. The listingphoto of the backyard space isn't accurate--there is no outdoor shower and a garage/shed has been built that takes up most of the lawn space seen in the photos (we had brought some lawn games and really couldnt use them). The kitchen has a small oven that has an inaccurate thermostat. The kitchen has basic bach cookware, utensils, dishes and a small pantry to store your food. Even though the place sleeps 17, the actual living space is quite small. It made it difficult to gather indoors to eat and play games. Eight could sit at the dining table. There was one sofa and three chairs in the lounge area. There was an outdoor table on the patio which was also for eight. We were also disappointed by the management company's handling of our linen fee-a couple of weeks before our check in date we decided to pay for the linens. However, due to weather overseas, five out of our initial 13 guest couldn't get to New Zealand. We notified the managers 5 days before check-in that this was the case and that we would only need linens for 8 people. Despite this notification they stated that they wouldn't refund the fee for the unneeded linens. Disappointing customer service.

Summary: Great location. This end of the beach was much better for swimming for all age ranges. Pukehina is a magical place and perfect for a good unwind. The house was big enough for several families to stay.
