Beautiful, Winter and Summer, Sunset lake house on edge of Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes, Located on the wine trail. A nice 2 bedroom 1 bathroom that comfortably sleeps 5 people, including children. A minute from wineries and breweries, located on the wine trail. Enjoy a short or long stay!!
Enjoy amazing sunsets from this year-round cottage on East Shore of Seneca Lake that comfortably sleeps max 5 people. Everything you need to enjoy a relaxing vacation: Swimming, Canoeing, Bonfires, Kayaking, and Paddle boarding. Perfect for families or a group of friends looking to enjoy all that the Finger Lakes have to offer. This fully equipped home is located directly on Seneca Lake only 10 minutes from downtown Geneva and Seneca Falls. Great breweries and wineries within a minute drive. Situated on the Seneca Beer and Wine Trail with Bottomless Brewery, 3 Brothers, Zugibe Winery, and Ventosa Winery all within a minute drive. There is 85 feet of waterfront with a shale beach with a gradual drop off for children. Ample room on the beach to sit and relax under the warm sun and watch the captivating sunsets.
The Outside Space
The house is in an ideal location. It’s a short distance to the NYS Thruway. Cook out on the gas grill and enjoy alfresco dining on the back patio overlooking the water, sit down to a family dinner at the large dining room table. A set of long stairs with a landing lead down to your private beach and removable dock. The removable dock goes out into the water for sunbathing and swimming. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy the lake during the day and take in the beauty of the sunset in the evening. No jumping or diving off the dock as the water levels may not be deep enough, depending on water levels throughout the year.
The Inside Space: The living room has a couch and a love seat and a TV with access to Netflix and has a selection of board game, please note there is no cable television provided. The master bedroom has one queen size bed, with a view overlooking the water. The second bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds, full size on bottom and twin on top. There are ductless air conditioning units in each bedroom and the living area. For the winter months, each room has a ductless heating units. Lower heating/AC unit temperature when leaving the house for any reason. Do not put on heat/air conditioners on along with opening windows, as it is unnecessary.
All linens are provided including towels. A hair dryer, emergency toiletries, an iron are all provided. Fully equipped kitchen includes toaster, coffee maker, Kureg, microwave, dishes, Beer and wine glasses, pots and pans, and utensils. We also provide basic condiments, cooking oil and a limited supply of coffee. Again, there is no cable.
The Neighborhood:
Three state parks and National Forest are nearby, as are casual and fine dining, an outlet mall, Wegman's for groceries, and Red Jacket Orchards. The house is directly on the Seneca Lake beer and wine trail, but also only a short drive over to the wineries on Cayuga Lake. For those interested in exploring the area more the house is close to the National Women's Hall of Fame, Clifton Springs Spa, Rose Hill Mansion, Hobart & William Smith College, The Finger Lakes Performing Arts Center, Sonnenburg Gardens, Smith Opera House, Belhurst Castle, golfing, Watkins Glen, and Del Lago Casino. Rochester and Syracuse airports are about 40 minutes away and Niagara Falls is about a 90 minute drive.

Summary: My family members co-located from out of town to celebrate a wedding shower. This location truly was God's country surrounded by trees and a view of the lake. College graduation made hotels unavailable. Weather, booked restaurants, and welcome center rules prevented our family from meeting and celebrating a toddlers 3rd bday. So i recommended this location's stay. Although the house was quaint, VERY strict rules allowing family members to visit, eat pizza, and sing happy bday were unreasonable for the neighbors and host. I received threatening texts saying my family was going to be evicted with my infant 1yr old grandson, was HORRIBLE and UNREASONABLE. We did comply immediately, took any trash out, cleaned, vacuumed and everyone vacated in 20min. Disappointed. We are very respectful human guests who even clean up after ourselves. When my family departed early, i no longer wanted to stay the duration and left early myself. The explanation that we were bothering neighbors, even though neighbors told us we weren't still made me uncomfortable. If your looking for solitude, this is the location. If you have to deviate for weather or anything else, rules are much stricter than a hotel. Everyone must read carefully. Additionally, I didnt know about the inconvenient road closures until I woke up and needed to go to the grocery store. The neighbor showed me another road. Summary: A cozy lake house, beautifully decorated with stunning lake views. Loved the little snack corner! We enjoyed our evening by the fire pit watching the sunset and our morning coffee on the covered back porch to avoid the rain.

Summary: We stayed for a short weekend to visit nearby wineries and when it came time to leave we wished we planned more time to stay at the house to enjoy all that it had to offer. It offers a beautiful view of the lake. Waking up and looking out the window to Seneca Lake was the best way to get the day started. Definitely plan on some time to enjoy this property if you're visiting.

Summary: We loved staying at this lakeside cottage to celebrate our 40th birthdays. The cabin is one of cleanest rentals I’ve ever stayed in. The decor is wonderful and sets a great tranquil mood for the lake. There’s so many wonderful amenities (spices, oils provided in kitchen, snack pack, several K cups, etc) that make this a fun and easy place to stay for a short or long visit. We would absolutely return.

Summary: This home was the perfect size for our family and the outside amenities were fantastic. Kids got really good at kayaking with lots of practice and lots of swim time. The location is in a good spot with easy access to restaurants, stores, and hiking. Finally, the sunsets are gorgeous from this home!

Summary: This was an awesome little house that was perfect for our family of four. There was enough room to have guests for dinner or the fire pit. The views are great and we saw osprey fishing every day. The beach was nice and the boats were fun. The dock was very wobbly however so take care. There was little more to ask for to make it perfect - a dishwasher would be ideal as well as a dresser in the master bed ( although it’s a really cute set up in there) we very much enjoyed our stay.

Summary: Lucas was really the best of the best! The house was immaculate. The amenities provided were the best I’ve seen in house rentals. The communication was quick and clear.
