Newly remodeled daylight basement unit with two bedrooms, one bath, Kitchenette (refrigerator, coffee, sink, washer/dryer & breakfast bar. Outdoor sitting with firepit, BBQ, & Hot tub. One mile from the ferry terminal, gateway to the San Juan Islands.

Summary: We truly enjoyed the downstairs apartment. It was very spacious and clean. Having a washer and dryer was awesome. (Though they are small loads only, and be aware that they washer especially is very loud. So it is hard to hear the TV and/or sleep while it is running.) Another great feature was the hot tub. We used it every night. Loved that! Rollin was very attentive to our needs and did give many good suggestions for restaurants and activities. Highly recommend Calico Cupboard One other item to be aware of: you do hear walking (human and dog) from upstairs, as well as barking. Otherwise, the apartment did feel fairly private. We felt the price point was accurate for NOT being a stand alone home. It was very convenient to the Ferry dock allowing for easy access to the San Juan Islands. We also explored the local state parks. Would highly recommend Washington and Deception. Overall, we would recommend Sunsets Forever.

Summary: Host was communicative and lovely. Home very clean. First time I stayed in a place that was not the whole house and it did feel a little strange to hear footsteps over head (minimal!) and accidentally open a door to see the stairs to the main house. We meant to use the hot tub but never got around to it….

Summary: We had a wonderful time in Anacortes! Rollin had a lot of great recommendations on things to eat, drink, do and see! The unit was very nice, perfect for 2 couples or a small family. The yard was beautiful and the hot tub was a nice bonus! The neighborhood was very nice and had great views! We even encountered a friendly local deer family a few times! I would definitely recommend this unit, it was great!

Summary: This was a spacious apartment that had lots of light. Was comfortable and relaxing in a nice neighborhood. Host was very nice and helpful. Would certainly stay again.

Summary: We were very pleased with our experience in this space. Our host was very communicative and attentive. The kitchen is spacious and reasonably stocked with materials needed for basic meals. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms spacious. The hot tub was a welcome experience. We also appreciated the limited cleaning expectations upon check-out. The only improvement I would make is to add a table where more than 2 people can sit for a meal. It is important to note that cell service is limited, but I prefer it that way. :-) We loved our stay!

Summary: Wonderful rental! Clean, quiet, stocked with essentials. Our host, Rollin, was fantastic! (Host pup, Winston, is sweet too!) Great communication and Rollin is knowledgeable on sites to see in Anacortes and surrounding areas. Definitely would stay again!!

Summary: Listed as a full house but it’s a basement apartment, with owner living above. Still very nice and owner was friendly and quiet, didn’t disturb us. Hot tub was a good plus.

Summary: My daughter and I stayed here for a 3-night "girls' getaway." We took the ferry to San Juan Island one of the days, and this vacation rental is just up the hill from the ferry dock. Very convenient! The apartment was clean, well-appointed, and comfortable, and even though it is a daylight basement apartment, it had better lighting than many of the other vacation rentals I've stayed at. (Very important for those of us who like to read books!) The hot tub was an added bonus. If you're going to San Juan Island or you want to explore the hikes around Anacortes, I recommend this property.

Summary: Property was just as advertised, clean and comfortable. Very close to the ferry and located in a nice, safe neighborhood. Great value and Rollin the property owner was very nice and accommodating with great commication. Highly recommend!!!
