warm & cozy cottage in Mt. Lookout is a great place for you to relax!
Just 10 min to downtown Cincinnati and close to hiking trails (plus breweries) by Little Miami River, this place is waiting for you on your next getaway!
this 1 bed 1 bath is just 1 floor, so very accessible for anyone who do not like stairs. no shared spaces; it is just a small house.
Note- this cottage is on a bigger road, so there are noises from cars passing by. It is also close to train tracks. Parking is along the street in front of the house. No parties or events allowed.
We value quality products to make your stay as comfortable as possible:
- Nectar memory foam mattress and pillows are in allerease protectors for allergy and bedbug protection
-All 100% cotton towels and cotton sheets.
-Disinfecting cleaning products are effective against coronavirus and do not have harsh chemicals.
Cottage layout:
Walk into a bright, cozy living room with a lot of space for relaxing & working.
The bedroom is next to the living room and connected full bathroom. Note that there is no door between the living room, bedroom, and kitchen.
The kitchen is in the back of the cottage and opens to the patio.
No laundry on site!
This newly renovated house has everything you are looking for your next getaway!
furry friends are allowed if they are hypoallergenic (for consideration of the guests who stay). we do charge $30 per night for your furry friend. Only 1 furry friend allowed since this is a smaller house. Security deposit of $500 collected up front per stay. For stays longer than 1 month, there is a monthly pet fee of $300 per month.
You will have access to the entire house except the basement. Parking is along the street in front of the house. No laundry on site.

For security purposes, a copy of your ID matching the name on the reservation is required to stay with us.
The security deposit is not charged up front. It is only charged if there are damages after the stay and we will notify you of any damages we find within 24 hours of check out.
No visitors or guests other than those on the reservation are allowed. If there are any violations of this, the reservation will be terminated with no refunds.
Strict early check in and late check out fees apply. Please coordinate ahead of time. Otherwise, $50/30 min late fee will be charged. Thanks!

Summary: We spent two nights at the Sunshine Cottage and it was accurately described. It’s a nicely renovated historic cottage that fit our purposes for visiting our daughter. The kitchen is nicely outfitted with a coffee station, the bathroom clean and modern and the bed was very comfortable. The floors are a bit uneven in spots, to be expected with an old house, but we adjusted to that. The property manager was very responsive when we had an issue with the TV.

Summary: This is a darling property that is a restored old Cincinnati bungalow. It has an all new interior within a sweetly improved exterior. It is along a street with both old and renewed properties. It has a back porch with a small fenced yard. Private enough to have a cuppa in pj’s while the dog roams around. The property has character; uneven floors and original woodwork and hardware in places. It is completely stylishly redone, but still has the old river town feel of Cincinnati. Gorgeous drives and shops and bigger stores nearby. I will stay again! Great for solo or two.

Summary: The owner has put great care into the cottage. It is clean and bright. So many positives. A few small details that could be improved - some of the electrical outlets seemed a bit fragile (the circuit broke running the refrigerator/microwave/coffee machine and it required someone to come and reset it in the basement). The owner responded immediately. There could be a covering for the front door window to provide a bit more privacy. On a final positive note, one of the neighbors came out to greet me and he was very friendly.
